  • Great place

"Great thanks to Shirley and Ron for a good stay. Shirley is a perfect host: extremely attentive and eager to give you a great stay. The apartment has a great location, extremely clean and very well equipt. We stayd in the summertime with to small children so the wonderful little garden incl. barbecue was perfect. In so many ways the perfect place for a stay - short or long - in Vancouver. The only negative is that the place is pretty dark and also sounds travel a lot trough the building. Being a bit sound sensitive it was for us a problem that you can hear every step and move from the above level. This is due to the wooden structure of this typical Vancouver house and not because of the family upstairs being noisy. Jeppe and Marie Louise, Denmark"

  • Great Yurt!

"Janice & Jeff were terrific hosts. The yurt is everything you'd want, and more. We are returning there one day, that's for sure!"

  • Lovely and clean garden suite

"We stayed here in late July and early August 2014. The suite was very clean, comfortable and had all the amenities for cooking and a washer and dryer. We had two girls (11 and 8) who fit nicely into the full bed. My wife and I stayed in the larger room and we were all comfortable. I do not think that 4 adults or larger children could sleep comfortably though. The suite is part of a two story home with tenants above but other than noticing some foot traffic here and there, they did not bother us. The washer and dryer are shared with the upstairs tenants, but there were no competition battles. You have your own driveway parking place. Steveston Village is charming and there are nice shops, good restaurants and the Cannery is a pretty neat landmark to visit and the owners allow you to use their free pass. This is the little town where ABC's "Once Upon a Time" is filmed. We informed the owner that our girls adored the show and she was very kind in providing us with tips on filming. The owners were also very attentive with our emails and always responded timely. We would visit again if we get back to Vancouver/Richmond. We did spend a lot of time touring (e.g., Vancouver, Victoria, Whistler) and the suite was a nice base of operations but toward the end of our trip, the drive into Vancouver got a little long. The only drawback as far as we were concerned."
