  • Sandylands familymoon review

"Dear Sandy, It was such a great pleasure to stay in your lovely home, for the third time! We couldn't imagine, coming to BC and not staying at Sandylands. We cannot believe the month went so quickly, but you know what they say about time and fun. It was great to get to know the neighbor also and we had some great feasts. Sandylands is a welcome home, even for baby, who sure did take a shine to you and felt just as home here, as back in the UK. Can't wait to come back......Till next time! (Honeymoon/Familymoon) PS: We just let you win at croquet so you wouldn't feel bad This property is great for exploring Vancouver, it's just far enough outside the city to relax and have some peace and quite but has great transport links to a variety of local sights and places of extreme wow factor beauty! We recommend rocky point for family picnics and days out, as well as Stanley park! (you can Travel for one zone on weekends!!) try the you gotta eat here web site for great places to eat round town, highly recommended is Montana grill at the local mall and steam works at waterfront vancouver! Local sushi delivery to Sandys was also awesome :)"

  • Glad We Came Back

"My husband and I returned to Nature on Norwood because we had such a fabulous experience in the summer of 2013. The owners informed us that there was likely to be construction next door. We decided it was still worth it to be in that beautifully decorated, well-maintained suite and to have access to so many places in the area that we had enjoyed last summer. The owners greeted us when we arrived & had a booklet with all the info we would need during our stay. Essential phone numbers & a nearby market & supermarket were neatly placed on a board in the kitchen. The owners do not leave a stone unturned. They informed us of some events coming up at Lonsdale Quay & in West Vancouver, & elsewhere, that we thoroughly enjoyed. They graciously provided a generous number of food items to get us started, so we didn't have to shop after the long drive we had. We particularly enjoyed the Organic Mega 3 eggs and the Canadian syrup (best we ever had) which we used when we made pancakes. There was a rich, sweet surprise as well, in the frig. The listing description & photos were accurate. The suite looks brand new & was clean and beautifully decorated. All the modern appliances work perfectly. The frig is huge & it's easy to get items in and out. Washer & dryer are top of the line. There is great lighting inside & outside the suite. Plenty of towels & linens. Comfy throws on the living room couch. Large TV, books, magazines, maps, games, and suggestions of places to go are in the suite. All the comforts of home. My husband was thrilled again to have use of an outdoor barbecue, & we had several mouth-watering meals which we enjoyed on the deck. We always feel relaxed while sitting on the rocking chairs on the patio and feeling "one with it all" among their lovely flowers, shrubs & huge trees. Nature on Norwood, indeed. We have told friends & relatives about our experience and would recommend this property. We hiked in local parks, such as, Lynn Valley, and tood shorter walks in nearby local parks. Drove to West Vancouver to walk along the bay. Drove over the Lions Gate Bridge to Stanley Park. Drove to Costco in both Burnaby & in Vancouver City. Locally, besides the nearby market the owners suggested, we discovered a Persian market on 15th St. near Lonsdale Ave, where we bought many delicious fruits & veggies at great prices (blueberries, cherries, corn, & small Persian cucumbers). Ate at several Persian restaurants & pubs on Lonsdale Ave. as well. Glad we came back!"

"Fantastic stay at this cabin in the woods! Lots of rooms and beds, great patio with view and calm surroundings. Living space great for group conversations. House is fully stocked of everything you need (minus groceries of course) Great for corporate retreats for groups around 10 or so. Would recommend it to anyone heading to the sunshine coast!"

  • Quaint and Cozy

"My husband and I stayed at Grumpy Cat Cottage for 12 nights, with our adult children and their dogs visiting for part of that stay. We found the cottage to be exactly as described; clean, comfortable, and the large property and waterfront area was enjoyed every day of our stay. It was wonderful to be able to have bonfires in the evenings (the fire ban was lifted) and John provided lots of firewood. Leslie and John left a surprising amount of groceries in the cottage which made us feel even more welcomed. We loved Sechelt and the surrounding areas and totally enjoyed exploring the many beaches and parks in that part of the Sunshine Coast. As adults, we were all very comfortable at Grumpy Cat; however, we did find the noise from the seaplanes very loud and irritating which is something one probably gets used to in time. There was also a lot of hammering and banging going on during the day from house construction next door; again, there was nothing John or Leslie could do about that and by next summer that intrusion should be a thing of the past. I would certainly come back to Grumpy Cat Cottage again but I would not bring small children or the elderly there IF needing to use the 'loft' bedroom for them. It is simply too hazardous of a climb for small children or anyone with a disability. The other two bedrooms on the main floor are perfectly comfortable. Knowing that John and Leslie were next door was a comfort if we needed anything, but they gave us our privacy and we never felt 'watched'. Overall, our vacation was a bounding success and we would love to return to Sechelt again in the near future. Thanks John and Leslie; Grumpy Cat Cottage is a lovely property."
