  • Great Location

"The location of this unit is great for a family. It is very easy to access everything important. The facilities at the Aspens are good. Hot tubs/Pools/Common areas are clean and well maintained. The unit is well furnished. The size was bit small but still very manageable. The size of the unit is trade-off for the excellent location. Two complaints. First, the dishes/pots and pans were dirty upon our arrival. The housekeeping crew should have caught it. But shame on the previous renter for putting dirty pots/pans/dishes back into the cabinets. Second, we had a number of issues with the internet access. The router/modem needed to be rebooted daily. I'm sure Reshma will get this problem resolved as she was very responsive."

  • Paul I (Comox, BC)

"I stayed for three week while on a course. Excellent, clean room, very quite, had everything I needed. The owners were very nice and made sure everything was ok. Great location and central to so many things. I will definitely be back."

  • Exceptional home!

"This house truly is exceptional. The location is excellent - a short walk from Whistler Village. The beds were extremely comfortable. I have never seen a kitchen (including mine) so well stocked. There's a nice fireplace, great TV, lovely eating area. The views are also really nice. I could go on and on. I've rented through VRBO several times, and have always had a good experience, but this house is the very best!"

  • Springtime at the Boathouse

"Stayed at the Boathouse for four nights and loved it - gorgeous sweeping view of the ocean. Sheltered location; minimal wind. Stunning sunset can be viewed right from the couch through the glass doors. Very cozy feel to the place. Wood stove heats the room in a jiffy. Loved the electric heater in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable enough for a good, sound sleep. The place was quite clean and the fridge spotless. Property is great for exploring along the creek or a quick walk up to the top of the hill; Smuggler Cove is a short drive away for a longer walk. Well equipped with a few DVDs/VHS, puzzles, games, magazines, spare blankets, information about the local area. A few little things that could use improvement - mildew stains and some broken tiles around the base of the shower, the BBQ has issues but still cooked our food on the two working flames, no plastic flipper for the non-stick pans, barely-working can-opener (though the kitchen was quite well-equipped compared to other cottages we've stayed at). The larger row boat leaked quite heavily but we didn't discover this until we'd hauled it down to the water. Took it back up and tried again with the little dingy and it worked fine for a little trip to the island at the mouth of the inlet on a calm day during low tide (thankfully we don't weigh much!). There's a loud creek nearby and the inlet is really sheltered; you won't hear waves, but you'll hear the creek, which is still a lovely sound. Bring along binoculars to get better views of the various birds on the inlet and see the seals around the rocks. People also wrote in the guest book about viewing orcas and dolphins. ***Mobility Warning*** it's not just a concrete walkway to the cottage; it's a steep set of rock/concrete stairs. They're well-built, sturdy, and totally fine for most people, but for those with hip/knee issues or unsteady on their feet it could be difficult. ***OVERALL*** We loved the place in spite of the few deficiencies and would definitely go back again! It's a charming cottage perfect for a weekend of reading, painting, relaxing, napping, bird-watching, or just staring at the ocean."
