  • Serenity

"We are parents with two kids: 11 & 2, plus wife's sister with a teenager daughter from overseas. Yes, so different ages that only an ultimate comfort could satisfy everyone. And, we got it there as well as absolutely stunning views from the deck, windows, fire pit bench, and lawn (telling you as a photo-hobbyist). The place is overlooking a lighthouse on a tiny island. Read about this landmark in books provided at the living room, and you would wish to visit the island. (Well, I had a big zoom lens though - good excuse this time:). Consult with Robyn for your fan time outside Barooga, and you will have plenty of activities every day. But, don't forget to walk on the beach every morning. Serenity... All is yours, nobody else around. This is what will stay in your memory for years, especially if you would forget about time while being busy with your camera soaking in the nature beauty and find yourself somewhere near Sargent Bay, like I did one day. I, also, should mention the zigzag path down to the beach because it makes the Barooga property to appear huge, which I never expected by looking at the website pictures. This is quite something: "blackberry bushes in the jungles". I loved them. We had a wonderful time, and did not want to leave."

  • Canada Day Long Weekend

"My friends and I came up for the long weekend to this place and we were blown away with how amazing the home and property was. The pictures do not do it justice. Everything you think you would need was provided. It was clean and very spacious even though we were really only inside to sleep and a bit of food prep work. From BBQ breakfast on the large deck over looking a beautiful ocean view, to BBQ dinner while the sun sets, to the smores by the campfire at night; the view and overall ambiance of the property is so amazing it truly is hard to put to words.. Oh and the rock formation to the right if you are facing the water looks exactly like a turtle. Smugglers cove is very close where we all went for a swim and hung out for the day which was also very enjoyable... Go swimming, sun bathe, have a campfire, share some laughs, leave your worries behind, relax and just enjoy yourself, your friends/loved ones and celebrate the fact that you are alive on this amazing planet in the beautiful serenity of nature and the West Coast cottage life. I can't picture the Sunshine Coast getting any better than this. We did not want to leave. With the song 'Cabin by the Sea' by the Dirty Heads in mind, we found our cabin by the sea and had one of the best Canada day long weekends to date. When the sun goes down, we can start a fire to sing around."

Halfmoon Bay Travel Tips

Have a Good Time in Halfmoon Bay Rentals

Halfmoon Bay Resorts Are Rich in Tribal History

The land on which Halfmoon Bay rentals now exist once was inhabited by the Shishalh Tribe, which later became known as the Sechelts. The area was chosen for its mild climate, fresh water, and natural food which is why it is still so popular among tourists today. Halfmoon Bay resorts are wildly popular so it is always wise to book them as early as possible.
