"Stayed up here with some family and friends and from what we saw from photos we knew it was going to be a lot of fun, little did we know how many other incredible activities and views there are in the area. We encountered many bald eagles flying around, we kayaked to a small island off the shore teaming with seals, deer roam the area freely at all times and while going for a hike on pendar hill we spotted a black bear and a cub in the distance. The photos that are posted here don't do this retreat justice, beyond the home there are countless things to do and even if your not an adventure seeker, the retreat itself is full of things to do on your own or with friends. Even the neighbours that are up there are pleasant folks and super friendly. The best way to sum this place up is if the stepford wives were actually real and lived on the west coast of BC."

"Thank you so much! We had a great time at Madeira Park. The house was very clean and well equipped for all our needs. The kitchen has everything you need, we were all very impressed. We were able to cook some amazing dinners and relax in the garden, watching the sunset and ocean. We enjoyed hiking to a near-by lake and sea kayaking very much. We are going to recommend it to our friends and relatives.
Thank you again."

"We had a lovely and relaxing weekend here at the Sea Star Cottage. Marilyn is delightful. We went out for dinner and upon coming back she had left a blanket on the chair outside as it was a bit chilly....very thoughtful. The view is fantastic, we bbq'd, sat outside and watched the boats and eagles...really lovely. We would not hesitate to come back.

"What a treat to stay at such an incredibly well designed home. The home is built in a way that captures the views of the bay perfectly below and is very private. The roof top deck is fantastic! The next level down is your fully stocked kitchen, dining room and living room. The folding patio doors are fantastic and expose the outer elements perfectly. That couch is so comfortable for just sitting and looking out at that fabulous view. When it gets cooler the floors are heated from the radiant heat! The next level down are the bedrooms. The master bedroom is large and the bathrooms are well designed and thought out with sliding doors for different uses. We were left some handcrafted soaps and lavender bath milk too. A nice touch! The two other bedrooms are good for kids with trundle beds for additional sleeping. The lowest level is the TV room with a futon couch. Great for watching movies. Outside is your garage and a little picnic table.
Rosemary is abundant on this property! We picked some and used it when cooking our salmon on the BBQ! The only thing that was missing was a hot tub! Wouldn't that be amazing with a glass of wine in the evening? I think yes!
We hiked Pender Hill, kayaked the bay, ate on the patio at the pub in Garden Bay, and pretty much just relaxed the entire time. A great getaway from the hustle and bustle of Vancouver.
Fully stocked for everything you could think of! Thank you for allowing us to experience your lovely home."
