"We had a great time at this property. I was there with my partner and 3 children, 17yo, 11yo, 1.5yo. The space was ideal for us with the two younger ones in the second bedroom and the teenager on the pullout couch downstairs. Lots of room and nice and cool even on the super hot days. It's a 5min walk down the road to the small public beach that was quite popular. Wonderful warm lake with a small island close by that the kids enjoyed swimming to. The kayaks were a plus, and we used them daily. Big screen TV was nice to relax in front of in the evening. My 11 yo loved the sauna, and everyone loved the big jet tub.

"The view from the deck of the cottage is beautiful. We often sat on the deck and watched the boats, currents and observed the tides. We used this a guide before we went kayaking. The kayaking around this area is amazing. Steve and Lorraine provided us with excellent information about "canoe pass" which led into a larger bay and public marina. You can launch a lighter kayak from the rocky beach that is accessed through a public stairway across the street from the cottage. The cottage itself is well appointed and came with all of the essentials to make our stay comfortable. The living room was very comfortable and we enjoyed the full kitchen and laundry facilities. We highly recommend this property for families or couples that are looking for a quiet get away. The dead end street makes it very attractive as the only people who are frequenting this area are owners themselves. We often walked the area and even ventured as far as the IGA for groceries and lunch at Budabing burgers. All and all, it was a great week away! Thanks for sharing your cottage with us Lorraine and Steve."

"Brook’s Nook is ideally located as a jumping off point for so many family friendly activities, we swam in local Katherine Lake, saw Orca’s from Francis Point (although seals are more common here), hiked Pender Hill and Daniel Point (which the young kids and grandparents managed too), biked around the local lakes, explored rock pools at the local beaches, watched the Skookumchuck Narrows and visited the Iris Griffith nature centre. There are many other hikes and bike trails to explore if you have the time. We chose to spend a few lazy afternoons enjoying the sun down on the rocks below the house too.
The house it’s self is ideally suited to families with lots of thoughtful touches making it a home from home, we’ve stayed in several rentals since we had kids and this was by far the best equipped of them all. A well equipped kitchen makes cooking that much easier on vacation and the games and toys kept the kids entertained while we enjoyed the beautiful views and dinner on the deck. With 2 bedrooms on each level and 2 sitting areas, not to mention the 2 decks, this would work well for 2 families; we were 3 generations under and enjoyed the extra space that allowed everyone the space they needed to relax and unwind.
Matthew, the owner is helpful and responds quickly to questions and the house was lovely and clean on our arrival. We hope to return one day. Thank you for an awesome vacation!"

"We had a truly great 4 day stay at this amazing cabin. The views are even better than the photos show. The cabin itself in perfectly situated on the point so that you can't see anyone else around you. Meticulous thought and detail have gone into the planning and building of this cabin because it is just so surprisingly perfect in every way.
We were given complete privacy too which just added to the great experience.
Best of all, watching boats pass as the sun set while having dinner on the deck. Ahhhhhhh.
Thank you Krista and Kent for making available this private little jewel!!"
