  • Confortable and clean house, great location

"We've rented many houses before and often you can be disappointed upon arrival the that description and photos don't match the rental. NOT THE CASE HERE! If anything, the photos don't do it justice. The ground floor is all open concept, so it's great for having everyone in the same space while a meal is being made, and others are relaxing on couch. The kitchen is fully stocked, and has everything you need. This isn't often the case with rentals. The wrap around porch was perfect for the rainy day we had while we were there, we sat and played board game and watched the ran fall. The Garden is absolutely stunning, Diane must spend a lot of time tending to it. Our daughter loved exploring. The Roberts Creek park is just across the street, so it's just a quick walk to the beach. Lastly, the 3rd floor loft would be perfect for kids. We only had 1 child on our trip, but we plan on heading back with other families and putting all the kids up there together. They'll have so much fun! If you're on the fence on whether to rent this house, do it, you won't be disappointed!"

  • Perfect Secluded Getaway

"Our group was immediately impressed by the layout of the property - right on the water with a spectacular view. There was plenty of room outside to throw the ball around and play badminton, and the dock was great for casting a rod or two anytime. On top of those features, the front deck provided plenty of room for a large group to congregate, as did the awesome fire pit. Perhaps the best part of the place was how incredibly well stocked everything was. For our group of 10, there was never a concern of running out of plates, glasses, cookware, towels, etc... Although we loved that there was no cell coverage, the local pub (5-10 minute walk) provided free wifi, so we were never in danger of feeling too isolated. There is also a general store down the road (2 minute drive) that provides all the essentials. I would highly recommend this location to any group looking to get away from it all and relax. I, and I'm sure others from our group, will most certainly be back again someday."

  • Perfect winter holiday spot for extended family

"We had a wonderful mini-reunion at this beautiful home -- spent 8 luxurious days getting to know our new granddaughter and spending quality time with our son and his wife (Janey had a basket of age-appropriate toys waiting for us upon arrival). The exceptionally well-equipped kitchen was perfect for our holiday meals and the open concept let everyone get involved ... assuming we could keep our eyes away from the views or using the binoculars to zoom in for a close-up of the eagles flying by. Baby in the backpack and off we were for trail-walking and exploring the area in general (Halfmoon Bay Cafe was almost a daily stop for great coffee and pastries!). Ringing in the new year here was the best, with the perfect balance of winter outdoor activity and relaxing times reading by one of the fireplaces. A very special place ... we're planning a return visit, that's for sure!"

  • Relaxing and beautiful

"My wife and I stayed here for three nights at the end of an Alaskan vacation, not wanting to be in the hustle and bustle of the city before we flew home. What a great decision. The suite is immaculate and was everything we had hoped for. Gaylene and Daniel were gracious hosts who made sure we had everything we needed. The views were spectacular. We loved watching the seals play, all the different birds and a deer swimming out front! We hiked on some local trails (Francis Point Provincial Park) and ate at a nearby pub in Garden Bay (Garden Bay Hotel, restaurant and pub) which had terrific food. There is also a wharf in town where you can get fresh seafood to grill up on the bbq supplied at the suite. It was a great end to a fantastic trip. Thanks again to our hard working hosts who hopefully get a vacation of their own soon."
