"Absolutely will not be disappointed! The most well stocked rental property we have ever visited! Beautiful, clean and modern bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen areas. Our fave part was having a group BBQ on the giant deck with a view of the inlet. Absolutely stunning sunsets! The kids were perfectly happy having most of their time when at Seaview Lodge spent downstairs with the abundance of DVD's and XBOX games and we couldn't hear a peep :) Will definitely stay longer next time. The owner was very accommodating to work with and clearly takes pride in this property. Would recommend to groups and families with kids/babies, you will find everything you need. Already planning our next stay..."

"My husband and I stayed at Grumpy Cat Cottage for 12 nights, with our adult children and their dogs visiting for part of that stay. We found the cottage to be exactly as described; clean, comfortable, and the large property and waterfront area was enjoyed every day of our stay. It was wonderful to be able to have bonfires in the evenings (the fire ban was lifted) and John provided lots of firewood. Leslie and John left a surprising amount of groceries in the cottage which made us feel even more welcomed. We loved Sechelt and the surrounding areas and totally enjoyed exploring the many beaches and parks in that part of the Sunshine Coast. As adults, we were all very comfortable at Grumpy Cat; however, we did find the noise from the seaplanes very loud and irritating which is something one probably gets used to in time. There was also a lot of hammering and banging going on during the day from house construction next door; again, there was nothing John or Leslie could do about that and by next summer that intrusion should be a thing of the past. I would certainly come back to Grumpy Cat Cottage again but I would not bring small children or the elderly there IF needing to use the 'loft' bedroom for them. It is simply too hazardous of a climb for small children or anyone with a disability. The other two bedrooms on the main floor are perfectly comfortable. Knowing that John and Leslie were next door was a comfort if we needed anything, but they gave us our privacy and we never felt 'watched'. Overall, our vacation was a bounding success and we would love to return to Sechelt again in the near future. Thanks John and Leslie; Grumpy Cat Cottage is a lovely property."

"My husband and I were looking for a very special vacation home in a great location where our large extended family could celebrate a special family event. We found the ideal place in Phil and Devi's gorgeous Sunshine Coast home. We were warmly greeted by Devi and who gave us a wonderful tour of the house and made everyone feel totally welcome. I was delighted to see the large dining table which had been beautifully set with a lovely, festive theme. Having a table large enough to seat all of the family was a top priority for us.
The house was perfect. The main room has a vaulted ceiling with floor to ceiling windows facing the spectacular inlet and mountains. It is obvious that a great deal of effort was put into creating the beautiful decor. The furniture, especially in the main room, was very comfortable. (I'm sure that in the winter months it is beyond comfy to have friends and family reclining on the large sectional sofa enjoying a roaring fire.) The kitchen is modern, well-stocked, and was able to handle the many cooks who took part in meal preparations. There is a BBQ on the balcony off the kitchen which was big enough to meet the barbecuing needs of our big group.
There was plenty of space for people to gather in large and small groups throughout the house and the children were able to play without disturbing adults. All of the bedrooms were beautifully decorated and comfortable, but the Master Suite was especially enjoyable because of the exquisite view from its balcony, the large whirlpool tub, and a great shower.
The walk to the beach starts with steps going down through an amazing array of plants and flowers. Partway to the beach there is a grassy play area where we could look out at the inlet while sipping drinks and letting the children play. From there a long wooden staircase takes you down to a sandy beach, which can be large or small depending on the tides. The water was amazingly warm and everyone enjoyed kayaking, canoeing, paddle-boarding, and just playing in the water. Going out onto the water in the late evening was a particularly marvelous experience.
Thank you Devi and Phil for providing us the opportunity to enjoy a memorable family celebration in your delightful home and incredible beachfront. It far surpassed our expectations."

"The location could not be more perfect, enjoy the beach? Walk two steps off the beach, love the woods and a little hiking? Just walk up the road and you have miles of trails to follow wherever you'd like. There couldn't be a more amazing location.
While the location is perfect, the accomadation itself is immaculate, well kept, beautiful views, great sun tanning decks, there is no better feeling in the world then waking up, walking out your bedroom door to a gorgeous view of the ocean and going for a quick swim to wake you up.
I could not recommend this spot any higher. It really is a peace within paradise. Amazing as a base camp for adventure, or the perfect relaxing getaway on the beach.
There may be some construction next door, however we had no issues with it what so ever."
