"The location could not be more perfect, enjoy the beach? Walk two steps off the beach, love the woods and a little hiking? Just walk up the road and you have miles of trails to follow wherever you'd like. There couldn't be a more amazing location.
While the location is perfect, the accomadation itself is immaculate, well kept, beautiful views, great sun tanning decks, there is no better feeling in the world then waking up, walking out your bedroom door to a gorgeous view of the ocean and going for a quick swim to wake you up.
I could not recommend this spot any higher. It really is a peace within paradise. Amazing as a base camp for adventure, or the perfect relaxing getaway on the beach.
There may be some construction next door, however we had no issues with it what so ever."

"We had the privilege of staying here for a lovely 3 months (Oct, Nov, Dec). We loved the very comfortable beds, the light-filled open design and the ever changing sea and sky views 24/7. Loved watching the seals & water birds from the chairs inside or on the deck - as well as the activity of tugs, ships, & sailboats. Enjoyed all the amenities of nearby Sechelt - the community centre facilities, the shopping, natural historical society gatherings, craft fairs,
the playhouse events, the hiking trails. The owners, Ed & Anndee, were very responsive to our every need. We look forward to returning!"

"Dearest Matilda and Ron, For the Thanksgiving weekend we chose to get away from the pace of the city, and instead joined you here at Footprints. What an inspiring decision! We napped on your daybeds, dipped in the hot tub and built warm fires while rain fell outside. C cooked a traditional Turkey dinner which we enjoyed in the sun room and slept like babies in the bedroom, which happens rarely in the city!
Your home here is beautiful, and helped us create a lasting memory. We cannot thank you enough for stocking the home with everything needed for an unforgettable experience.
Thank you sincerely for the warm welcome and trust with your home. We are certain our paths will cross again!"

"My husband and I stayed at Grumpy Cat Cottage for 12 nights, with our adult children and their dogs visiting for part of that stay. We found the cottage to be exactly as described; clean, comfortable, and the large property and waterfront area was enjoyed every day of our stay. It was wonderful to be able to have bonfires in the evenings (the fire ban was lifted) and John provided lots of firewood. Leslie and John left a surprising amount of groceries in the cottage which made us feel even more welcomed. We loved Sechelt and the surrounding areas and totally enjoyed exploring the many beaches and parks in that part of the Sunshine Coast. As adults, we were all very comfortable at Grumpy Cat; however, we did find the noise from the seaplanes very loud and irritating which is something one probably gets used to in time. There was also a lot of hammering and banging going on during the day from house construction next door; again, there was nothing John or Leslie could do about that and by next summer that intrusion should be a thing of the past. I would certainly come back to Grumpy Cat Cottage again but I would not bring small children or the elderly there IF needing to use the 'loft' bedroom for them. It is simply too hazardous of a climb for small children or anyone with a disability. The other two bedrooms on the main floor are perfectly comfortable. Knowing that John and Leslie were next door was a comfort if we needed anything, but they gave us our privacy and we never felt 'watched'. Overall, our vacation was a bounding success and we would love to return to Sechelt again in the near future. Thanks John and Leslie; Grumpy Cat Cottage is a lovely property."
