  • Amazing Summer cabin Destination!

"Since discovering this gem, we have now returned for our 3rd summer. This is the perfect place for families to visit the Sunshine Coast, providing a large deck with a breathtakingly stunning view down the Sechelt Inlet (I have seen many amazing views in my life and this is definitely one of the finest), an expansive green space to play and lounge on - with a hot tub too - and then a sheltered beach cove with calm, shallow water to beachcomb at low tide (bring water shoes) and lots of swimming options as the tide comes in. The place comes with boats and kayaks you can borrow too! You are only a 10 minute drive from Sechelt village with cafes, shopping and groceries, and yet you feel like you are on a remote island getaway. It is very spacious with a comfortable homey feel. 2 minute drive from Porpoise Bay for a sandy beach, and also from Hidden Grove Hiking trails. We love it!"

  • lovely cottage and views on the beach!

"Cottage is an historical property loving restored and decorated in the beach theme. Good sized rooms. Suitable for 2-3 adults. Or couple with older children. Pet friendly, well set up for dogs. Two indoor sitting areas. Plenty of room and table for 4 on the waterfront deck. Full, well stocked kitchen . one bathroom w/shower bathub combo. Location on Davis Bay looking out towards Vancouver Island. Daily heron visits, one deer, eagles, geeses. Cottage "Life's a Beach 1" was very clean. Beds firm, comfortable pillows. It was in the low 20s when we stayed, could be hot in warmer temps. Good, prompt communication from owners Chuck & Darlene. Downside, steep stairway down to cottage.. In the area: kayak rentals, float plane tours, a few shops, artists. Grocery stores: IGA, Dave's Meat Shop. Farmers Market on Saturday mornings."

  • Angela

"This is a beautiful place to stay. The scenery is spectacular..you really can see cruise ships, seals, eagles, mountains and the ocean all from the deck! The "cabin" as they call it is really a cottage. It has two brand new bathrooms, freshly painted rooms, modern kitchen, washer/dryer and everything you could need for a great vacation. We flew in and really arrived with clothing and groceries plus two kids and there wasn't anything we needed and could not find. There were lifejackets, beach towels, bath towels, games, movies, cards, puzzles, tourist info, binoculars, spices, coffee, tea, condiments, bbq....it was an amazing place to stay. Would highly recommend it. The only sad part was leaving!"

  • Everything it says it is and more! Absolutely beautiful!

"The house is absolutely beautiful with tons of space - common space and individual space, inside and outside. The setting is gorgeous - in a cove in the inlet so it's protected, north of Sechlet in Porpoise Bay Provincial Park We had a group of 6 adults and it was just perfect. The place allowed us exactly what we wanted with the beauty, tranquility, nature, space and facilities, well and beyond. We had a brilliant time and would highly recommend the place. It's great for a group who wants to get away and relax. There is also kayaking right down the street but we didn't get there. It's a fab find...thanks again Devi."
