  • A wonderful vacation spot!

"We loved our stay. The space is bright and beautiful, the view is magnificent, the beach is perfect. BBQ'ing dinners on the deck, daily beach walks, swims in the clearest water and easy drives to town for food/wine. A wonderful place to relax with a family."

  • lovely cottage and views on the beach!

"Cottage is an historical property loving restored and decorated in the beach theme. Good sized rooms. Suitable for 2-3 adults. Or couple with older children. Pet friendly, well set up for dogs. Two indoor sitting areas. Plenty of room and table for 4 on the waterfront deck. Full, well stocked kitchen . one bathroom w/shower bathub combo. Location on Davis Bay looking out towards Vancouver Island. Daily heron visits, one deer, eagles, geeses. Cottage "Life's a Beach 1" was very clean. Beds firm, comfortable pillows. It was in the low 20s when we stayed, could be hot in warmer temps. Good, prompt communication from owners Chuck & Darlene. Downside, steep stairway down to cottage.. In the area: kayak rentals, float plane tours, a few shops, artists. Grocery stores: IGA, Dave's Meat Shop. Farmers Market on Saturday mornings."

  • Passing Orcas, Visiting Seals, Spectacular Sunsets...All Seen from Your Own Sundeck

"One of the first "wow" moments on arrival is the large, welcoming sundeck, complete with a covered eating area great for breakfast and dinner overlooking the beach. This was followed the next morning with a pod of Orca whales passing by within easy view. This well kept and supplied cottage worked very well for our 2 weeks on the Sunshine Coast. There was plenty of room for our visiting kids and grandkids. One bedroom is ideal for youngsters with 2 bunk beds (4 sleeping). We made good use of all of the space, notably the sunroom and living room area. We could have used more storage space for visiting family, but we managed. Swimming and use of the 2 person kayak was just a few meters away and was great. A tip: Because the beach is stony, they pretty much all are on the Sunshine Coast, bring along a pair of aqua socks. We made great use of the bar-b-q. And, if you eat out make sure you go to Daphne's in Sechelt (Greek) and Gumboot (in Roberts Creek). All in all we enjoyed our stay at the "Beachhouse" and are likely to want to spend time there again."

  • Unforgettable stay!

"Your warm and welcoming manner was a breath of fresh air. Nothing was too much trouble and you even came to help late at night. This place is so relaxing and calm. The beautiful views we awoke to were splendid! We ate at lovely restaurants in Sechelt, we walked along the promenade with our dog, we relaxed in the private hot tub and had a cosy evening watching the magnificent sunset and then one of the many DVD's provided. We will never forget our stay. Namaste"
