  • Ideal!!!

"I cannot imagine a more ideal spot. The location (Indian Arm) is majestically beautiful..... the views you will awaken to from the master bedroom are spectacular. We spent our days sipping coffee on the dock (one morning joined by 4 otters), kayaking up and down Indian Arm, rowing, swimming (it's brisk) , enjoying the wildlife, hiking to Deep Cove (stopping at Lookout rock for even more spectacular views). In the evening we sipped wine on the deck and barbecued wild salmon (on nice large gas barbecue) and boiled local dungeness crab in outdoor cooking pot (also provided). There are outdoor table and chairs under a canopy...also an outdoor heater (which we did not need). We so appreciated the boats and outdoor amenities that were included. We traveled with another couple and the indoor accommodations worked well for us. Its a really unique design....the granite hillside is incorporated into parts of the interior. On our last night our adult son joined us. The sleeping arrangement for the 5th guest is separated by just a curtain...which worked just fine in our case. There is lots of reading material, books & magazines, some games and a TV & Exercycle (in our case too much outdoor beauty & activities to have need for either of those!) The purpose of our trip to Vancouver was to attend our son's P.H.D. dissertation defense at Simon Fraser University. Immediately after booking I began to get cold feet that the location was too remote and inaccessible which turned out not to be the case. I should have reread the title....25 min to downtown is accurate. There is a shopping area 10 min away for groceries etc and Deep Cove a short kayak paddle away if you've got a donut urge .... there's other dining options too but Honey's donuts is famous & you earned the indulgence with that paddle (or hike). Although the location is not too remote to access downtown...trust me...you probably won't want to. Elaine and Tony were great!....accommodating, helpful, and informative when needed. We look forward to returning!"

  • Great Time In Yaletown With Family

"My wife and two kids (14 and 12) just spent 3 fantastic days in Vancouver, and this rental was an awesome location. Convenient walking to good restaurants, shopping, and coffee shops. The condo was outfitted with everything you needed for a comfortable stay, i.e. internet, dishes, cookware, coffee maker, beds, linens, etc. Also, the convenience of the biking path that takes you around Yaletown, down to Stanley Park and beyond was amazing. The area around the Yaletown is very clean, safe and inviting. I would high recommended it."

  • Great Location - very clean

"Excellent location near lower Granville area. Two level, two king bedrooms, two bath perfect for two couples. The four of us spent 4 nights and walked to great restaurants at the end of each day. The property is partially updated and very clean. Parking was provided which is important in the city. The only annoyance was that WIFI was not working properly causing unnecessary costs to us to stay in email touch with our jobs."

  • Great stay in a great condo

"After reading the previous review about noise, heat and keys we were a little apprehensive - but that was completely blown away when we met the owners' son who gave us two sets of keys and showed us the air conditioner - which is simple to operate. We had blistering hot weather, but the condo was a haven of coolness when we returned from our many walks to bakeries and boutiques, trips to the beaches, Kitsilano's huge swimming pool and downtown Vancouver. Yes - W 4th Ave is busy during the rush hour but quiet after 10:00 pm. We live (most of the year) in a tranquil close and are not used to noise - but we had no problem. This is a well appointed condo in a well run building. We had one of our best vacations ever (and we have been throughout North America and to many parts of Europe and even Africa). The attraction for us was the ability to walk to countless tiny, chic retailers, coffee shops and restaurants and enjoy a trendy, upscale locale close to English Bay and the glorious water and mountain views. A bus stop right outside the main entrance to the condo development means you can get to Downtown Vancouver quickly and cheaply - without the hassle of finding and paying for parking. We walked to Granville Island a couple of times - and took the little passenger ferry once just for the fun of it. The owners are wonderful people who have thought of everything to create a perfect "pied-à-terre" to enjoy the unique environs. We can thoroughly recommend this condo and would really love to stay at this condo again in 2015."
