  • Nice Place!

"The place was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The washer and dryer were nice to have, especially when we had wet snow/rain one day. The kitchen was also nice to have if you plan on eating in. One criticism would be the accessbility of the unit. Unless you are coming from the parking garage, accessing the unit requires you to walk along a path on the back side of the building. The walk wasn't necessarily much of an inconvenience--however, the path was always covered in several inches of water. We were basically forced to walk through it. This is not the owners fault, but something worth mentioning. Another thing worth noting relates to the ski in/ski out feature. My experience with ski in/ski out usually means that the ski slopes are in the backyard. This is not the case with this unit. Although there were ski in/ski out directions in the unit, we could not figure it out. After walking for what seemed like forever on the first day, we opted to take the bus for the remainder of the trip. The bus system was very convenient and efficent. We never had to wait more than a few minutes, and you could get anywhere very quickly. We enjoyed the stay and would definitely recommend this place to others. Also, the owner communicated very well and was pleasant to work with."

  • Perfect quiet setting on Whistler during a busy week

"We were very pleased with the condo we picked through VRBO at Whistler. The location was perfect for us. There was no need to use the car for the 5 days we stayed. Biked or walked everywhere we needed to. It was quiet, clean and had everything we needed. Only complaint was there were too many bikes in the storage room, but with Crankworx going on I guess we should have expected that."

  • Average condo, short walk to slopes

"This was our first time to Whistler. The surroundings were majestic, the mountains gorgeous. It was beautiful! We typically stay at ski-in, ski-out (slopeside) condos when we travel and this one was a little misleading. Advertised as such, it was not. Pictures of private trails would give you the impression that it was slopeside, again, it was not. It was a short (less than 5 minute) walk up the hill to the Blackcomb Lodge’s entrance to the slope and once on that, an easy ride down to the Wizard Express. Coming home was a bit of a lengthy maze through the woods, but doable. The downsides were the wear and tear on the condo. The vertical blinds that were to cover the back patio door were half missing, the sheets in the master were so pilled and worn, it was like sleeping on old sheets. While there was a humidistat in the condo which made the air more comfortable, the towels were terribly mildew. Coming from Florida, we are used to mildew, but even multiple rewashing didn’t rid the towels of the scent. The hot tub was a very welcome addition and the fact that it was private made it even more special. The gas fireplace was a plus! Brigitta was quick to respond to our questions via email. However our concerns were not addressed, just merely noted such as needing a new battery for the garage door opener and the missing blinds. Overall, it was not a bad place to stay but it does need some updating, some thorough cleaning and some new linens to have us stay there again."

  • Enjoyable weekend with our granddaughter

"This is our second stay at Maria's condo. We love the location with the easy access to all areas of Whistler and Blackcomb. If so inclined, one could cook a gourmet meal in the fully stocked kitchen, utensils, etc. We really appreciated the nice touches that make a difference ie. Starbuck's coffee, nice soap and bathroom amenities. Fortunately, there is an air conditioner in the main area and a fairly powerful fan in the bedroom as the weather has been hot. Our 14 year old granddaughter found the large pullout sofa in the living room comfortable. After a hot day bike riding and hiking the trails, we appreciated the opportunity to relax in front of the two televisions. We didn't use the pool as swimming isn't our thing, and our granddaughter opted out as well although there were many using it. Parking is $15.00 per day. The bike locker was full so we backed our vehicle close to the back wall of the parking stall in the hopes that our three bikes would not be stolen. They were fine last year and this year as well. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay in this unit on our next visit. Thank you Maria for adding your personal touches to ensure your guests enjoy their stay."
