  • Amazing Value Luxury at Top Location

"After extensive hours searching for accommodation for our extended family of 5 adults and 3 children, we were so relieved to find this Townhouse. It was a standout with regards to location, facilities, proximity to the village, value for money and is true ski-in ski-out! From the get go, owner Sabina was so helpful and went above and beyond to assist us in planning our vacation, including tips on transfers and ski lessons / equipment rental. We had quite a few questions and settling on our dates meant quite a few emails back and forth due to our complicated planning, but nothing was too much trouble for her. Upon our arrival we were delighted to find that everything was exactly how we envisaged, just like in the pictures. Everything we needed was right there. The kids stayed downstairs and the grandparents upstairs and after skiing we were either on the comfortable couch or relaxing in the hot tub taking in the stunning views. The large ultra modern gourmet kitchen was fully equipped with everything we could ever need and the huge fridge and separate wine fridge were fabulous. There is a gigantic washing machine and dryer which came in super handy and all the bathrooms were modern and very clean with the added beautiful touch of lovely soaps and lotions. A boot warmer in the garage came in very handy too. There were ample luxury towels for bathrooms and additional towels for use of the hot tub too. We found there was plenty of wardrobe space and a clever coat cupboard by the entrance so even with so many people, we managed to find hanging space for all our winter wear. We were also so excited to find a beautiful gift hamper on our arrival with wine and snacks and handy shopping bags. What had quite an extensive list of "must-haves" and this accommodation ticked all the boxes. We highly recommend this accommodation for a family stay in Whistler. We would definitely stay here again. Warmest regards Angelique"

  • Super cozy Granite Court

"We had a wonderful stay in Sandy's Granite Court condo at Whistler. Granite Court is a small, very quiet condo complex centrally located in Whistler Village. The weather was very inclement (it's been a bad year for skiing, unfortunately) so we didn't waste our Edge Cards but that made us all the happier that we were in a cozy condo and not a hotel room! It was beautifully kept up and had everything we needed. The queen bed was super comfortable and our 15 year old son said the pull out sofa was also very comfortable. We will definitely be back to Granite Court."

  • Home Away From Home

"A very nice, clean, and spacious home in a great location. Great for a family vacation, there was more than enough room for all five of us. We enjoyed how close we were located to Whistler Village, with a grocery store and restaurants just a short walk away. We really felt at home during our stay, in the evenings it was nice to have the option to stay in and select a movie from the provided selection. After a long day of hiking we enjoyed resting our legs in the hot tub. Pretty much everything you need is available, unfortunately the washing machine and dish washer were having problems, but this was just a minor inconvenience for us, as we only spent four days in Whistler before heading to Vancouver Island. The owners provided fast communication and were very informative. We made use of their information booklet and took their suggestions when it came to going out for a meal. Our vacation was a very positive experience and we would recommend this property to anyone traveling with a family."

  • Great location and condo!

"We had a lovely stay at the Glacier Lodge in August 2014. There were 6 of us in the condo and stayed for 4 nights. The condo was clean, spacious, nice large kitchen table for family meals (all utensils/pots & pans/bowls you need are there), tv's in each room and 3 fans. This does NOT have air conditioning OR a bbq, which would have been nice in the summer, we moved the fans to the doors to cool off the main sitting area. The location is fantastic, they have a pool, storage for luggage or bikes, check in desk - extremely friendly staff - who will give you access codes to wifi (one for each devise) and answer any questions you will have. We would certainly stay here again, we parked our car and didn't use it until we left. We enjoyed the village - walkable (5-10 min), walked around lost lake, rented bikes, etc. It is located across from the fairmont and lots of activities at the base of Blackcomb, as well as a farmers market. Quieter than Whistler Village, which was nice. Mountain biking & hiking was fantastic."

Whistler Travel Tips

Just two hours north of Vancouver you'll find Whistler, a top Canadian resort destination that's great for a visit year-round. This spot is situated near Whistler and Blackcomb mountains with a lively base village. In the winter, it's the perfect spot to enjoy hours of skiing, snowboarding and other exciting cold weather activities. When the weather warms up, Whistler offers championship golf courses, plenty of hiking and biking trails, and much more.

All year long you can peruse the variety of shops in Whistler and try the different bars and restaurants for delicious meals and drinks.

Whistler was so named for the furry animals in the area that sound like they're whistling. The area is centered around four main neighborhoods: Whistler Village, Village North, Upper Village and Creekside.

Cold Weather Activities

- Whistler Blackcomb: For some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the area, head to Whistler Blackcomb. This was the official skiing spot for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Whistler and Blackcomb are side-by-side mountains that offer collectively more than 200 marked runs, more than 8,000 acres of terrain, 14 alpine bowls and three glaciers. This spot receives more than 430 inches of snow each year, making it one of the longest ski seasons in North America. Whether you're an avid skier or snowboarder or it will be your first time on a run, you're sure to have a great experience with with so many different trail options.

- Sleigh rides: If you've traveled with your sweetheart or your family, a Blackcomb horse drawn sleigh ride is a must. It's a perfect way to enjoy the winter wonderland as you glide across the snow. Snuggle up under a warm, cozy blanket, sip hot chocolate and listen to the jingle bells as the Percheron draft horses pull you through the snow-covered forest trails.

- Snowshoe trails: Enjoy a winter walk with snowshoes. Whistler offers a variety of trails like Trapper's Trail, Natural Mystic Tour, Winter Wonderland and more where you can explore the natural scenery and keep an eye out for local wildlife. Snowshoeing is a fun activity for people of all ages, and you can rent snowshoes if you don't own a pair.

- Whistler Day Spa: After all the vigorous activities like skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing, your body is bound to feel a little sore. Sooth your aching muscles and allow yourself to relax with a trip to the Whistler Day Spa. Massage therapists will work out painful knots and ease any tension built up in your body. Estheticians will care for your windblown skin with a healing, moisturizing facial. You can even treat yourself to a manicure and pedicure so your feet and hands sparkle.

- Barefoot Bistro: When it's chilly outside, there's nothing more comforting than a warm, delicious home-cooked meal. You'll find just that at Barefoot Bistro, a French bistro-style champagne bar and restaurant. Sip some some Dom Perignon (served by the glass) and dine on exceptional French cuisine. On most weekends, you can enjoy live jazz music.

Warm Weather Activities

- Amsterdam Cafe and Pub: When the weather is warm, you can spend a wonderful evening dining on the charming outdoor patio of the Amsterdam Cafe and Pub. Dine on traditional pub fare like shepherd's pie, burgers, pasta and more as you check out the local scenery.

- Hit the beach: In the summer months, spending time at the beach is a must, and Whistler provides a variety of options where you can soak up the sun and splash around in the water. Lakeside Park is great for families, with a kid's play area, picnic tables and a barbecue. Swim in the warm waters or rent a canoe, boat or windsurf for an adventure. Rainbow Park is another terrific option, with sandy shores, volleyball courts and a large dock floating offshore for swimmers to hang out.

- Wedge Rafting: Thrill seekers will love the experience of river rafting with Wedge Rafting. White water tours are offered between based on a range of difficulty from class 1 to class 4 rapids. A professional guide will take you down Whistler's rivers as you navigate the rapids.
