  • Comfort Without Compromise

"Communication: Prior to booking all of our questions were answered promptly and thoroughly by the owner. The actual booking was seamless and professional. Location: This condo is located in a park like setting. All the amenities we wanted were close and within walking distance. We parked our car in the secure underground parking area and didn't use it during our stay. I did notice a place to wash bikes and a place to store them. Condo: The condo was very clean. Of all the VRBO rentals we have done over the years this one gets top marks for cleanliness. It was also quiet and it was comfortable. In the realm of comfort the attention to detail was unending. It became very evident that the owners want their guests to be, above all else, comfortable. Some examples are dimmer switches on the lights, extra blankets to curl up in, comfortable beds, different pillows in the cupboard just in cases we guests are having a "three little bears" moment. "Oh look, this one is just right". Everything had a place, and when we arrived, everything was in it's place. The kitchen is well stocked. There was everything needed to prepare great meals. In addition to the regular spices, oils etc there were eggs, butter, cheese, yogurt just to mention a few items. This barely touches on the number of items available. There was also a wonderful supply of sweet and savory treats left by the owners for guests to simply enjoy. Back to Communication: There was no guess work as to how things worked or which switch turns which light on. Everything was labelled. Instructions were available where needed. We were left with current contact information for things like repairs and cleaners etc. There were pictures available so we would be able to recognize these contacts if we needed to call them. I do not generally write lengthy reviews like this one but I do feel this rental warrants it. Frankly I thing the VRBO bear should do a random visit and really get this condo on the map. In addition I would like to thank the owners for the many ways they made this a comfortable and enjoyable stay."

  • Perfect Winter Retreat

"Look no further! This is your place! We stayed for just over 3 weeks in March / April 2014 and can't wait to return. Angela is an absolute delight to deal with - nothing was a problem and so prompt with all correspondence... Everything is exactly as advertised and then some! The pics probably don't do it justice. This suite has absolutely everything that you need for your Whistler visit. Warm, clean and definitely comfortable. Quality is definitely a word I would use to describe everything here. Lovely leather lounge, amazingly comfy bed too! We loved the short walk on the valley trail (access literally steps from your front door) into the village every day to head up the mountain. Not only was it a little warm up but just to be able to enjoy the surrounds and wildlife on the way too. The location of the suite is so private and no outside noise to speak of at all. This suited us to a tee rather than the constant buzz in the village. Thanks for sharing your piece of paradise with us and we will return sooner than later that is for sure x"

  • Wonderful townhome/great location/perfect for 2 families

"Couldn't ask for a better location in the heart of Whistler. Easy walk into the village and the valley trail is right there to hop on with your bikes. Townhome worked out perfectly for the 2 families. Nice to be able to have the bedroom with the twin beds pushed together for a king so that both sets of parents had ensuites. Having garage access was so great for storing 8 bikes and gear during our stay. Kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. Will definitely stay here again!"

  • Spacious family home

"We stayed here in this large home with several families and young kids the week after Xmas. Good floor plan with bedrooms having adjacent bathrooms, the steam room, hot tub and sauna perfect after a day on the mountains, and the pool table for evening fun. The kids attended Creekside ski camp and the house is conveniently a 7-10 minute drive from Whistler village and Creekside and we saw quite a few taxis in front of our street so if you don't have a car, the drive to town shouldn't cost that much. You can't get much closer to Whistler village than Blueberry Hill where the house is located. House stocked with lots of wood for cozy fires in the living room and master bedroom. We spent a lot of time around the kitchen and breakfast bar area. Peter the manager is very pleasant to deal with. Only negatives were the furniture was a little old - the dining chairs were not comfortable (they're very low seats and a seat cushion is mandatory), the living room sofa was old and dusty (we looked under the cushions looking for a lost tablet and think the cleaners should do a thorough job of vacuuming/dusting), the stereo system badly needs an update. Peter was nice enough to bring by a set of portable speakers as the house speakers were blown out before we arrived and luckily we asked some of the guests to bring their own speakers. While we aren't TV junkies by any means, to satisfy some of the guests some of the time, I'd suggest getting more cable channels than the basic package. Our house party also cooked a lot and we found the kitchen had just enough of the basics to cook and serve a large party of 14 (or more with guests over for NYE.) A great house, easy to live in and move around without feeling crowded or stepping on other people's space."

Whistler Travel Tips

Just two hours north of Vancouver you'll find Whistler, a top Canadian resort destination that's great for a visit year-round. This spot is situated near Whistler and Blackcomb mountains with a lively base village. In the winter, it's the perfect spot to enjoy hours of skiing, snowboarding and other exciting cold weather activities. When the weather warms up, Whistler offers championship golf courses, plenty of hiking and biking trails, and much more.

All year long you can peruse the variety of shops in Whistler and try the different bars and restaurants for delicious meals and drinks.

Whistler was so named for the furry animals in the area that sound like they're whistling. The area is centered around four main neighborhoods: Whistler Village, Village North, Upper Village and Creekside.

Cold Weather Activities

- Whistler Blackcomb: For some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the area, head to Whistler Blackcomb. This was the official skiing spot for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Whistler and Blackcomb are side-by-side mountains that offer collectively more than 200 marked runs, more than 8,000 acres of terrain, 14 alpine bowls and three glaciers. This spot receives more than 430 inches of snow each year, making it one of the longest ski seasons in North America. Whether you're an avid skier or snowboarder or it will be your first time on a run, you're sure to have a great experience with with so many different trail options.

- Sleigh rides: If you've traveled with your sweetheart or your family, a Blackcomb horse drawn sleigh ride is a must. It's a perfect way to enjoy the winter wonderland as you glide across the snow. Snuggle up under a warm, cozy blanket, sip hot chocolate and listen to the jingle bells as the Percheron draft horses pull you through the snow-covered forest trails.

- Snowshoe trails: Enjoy a winter walk with snowshoes. Whistler offers a variety of trails like Trapper's Trail, Natural Mystic Tour, Winter Wonderland and more where you can explore the natural scenery and keep an eye out for local wildlife. Snowshoeing is a fun activity for people of all ages, and you can rent snowshoes if you don't own a pair.

- Whistler Day Spa: After all the vigorous activities like skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing, your body is bound to feel a little sore. Sooth your aching muscles and allow yourself to relax with a trip to the Whistler Day Spa. Massage therapists will work out painful knots and ease any tension built up in your body. Estheticians will care for your windblown skin with a healing, moisturizing facial. You can even treat yourself to a manicure and pedicure so your feet and hands sparkle.

- Barefoot Bistro: When it's chilly outside, there's nothing more comforting than a warm, delicious home-cooked meal. You'll find just that at Barefoot Bistro, a French bistro-style champagne bar and restaurant. Sip some some Dom Perignon (served by the glass) and dine on exceptional French cuisine. On most weekends, you can enjoy live jazz music.

Warm Weather Activities

- Amsterdam Cafe and Pub: When the weather is warm, you can spend a wonderful evening dining on the charming outdoor patio of the Amsterdam Cafe and Pub. Dine on traditional pub fare like shepherd's pie, burgers, pasta and more as you check out the local scenery.

- Hit the beach: In the summer months, spending time at the beach is a must, and Whistler provides a variety of options where you can soak up the sun and splash around in the water. Lakeside Park is great for families, with a kid's play area, picnic tables and a barbecue. Swim in the warm waters or rent a canoe, boat or windsurf for an adventure. Rainbow Park is another terrific option, with sandy shores, volleyball courts and a large dock floating offshore for swimmers to hang out.

- Wedge Rafting: Thrill seekers will love the experience of river rafting with Wedge Rafting. White water tours are offered between based on a range of difficulty from class 1 to class 4 rapids. A professional guide will take you down Whistler's rivers as you navigate the rapids.

- Whistler Museum: Escape the heat with a trip to the the Whistler Museum, where you can learn about the area's natural history and mountain life. There are a variety of exhibits that anyone, no matter their age, can enjoy. You can also be led by a guide with a Valley of Dreams walking tour or check out the multimedia presentations.

- Whistler Brewing Company: Take a tour of the Whistler Brewing Company and see how the craft beers are made. A tour guide will show you around and you can sample different brews.
