"The central city location allowed us to walk everywhere in town. Yes, it's in a somewhat transient neighborhood, but I had no issues walking alone in the mornings and we never felt unsafe. We had three adult children with us, and we enjoyed playing family card games on the rooftop table (the lighting needs some attention, however).
It was rather hot mid July, and only one of the a/c units works. (the one in the master bedroom flipped the circuit whenever it was turned on, even if nothing else was on). It cooled down at night, but it was noisy with all the doors open (sky train is a block away and sirens go off frequently). The night before we arrived, there was a water issue which interrupted elevator use for a few days. The owners were very apologetic and accommodating, and offered a discount if we still wanted to stay (and walk up the 29 floors, which turned out to be good practice for the Grouse Grind). Communication with the owners was excellent from the beginning. Book early if you want to stay - it's a popular unit!"

"Brook’s Nook is ideally located as a jumping off point for so many family friendly activities, we swam in local Katherine Lake, saw Orca’s from Francis Point (although seals are more common here), hiked Pender Hill and Daniel Point (which the young kids and grandparents managed too), biked around the local lakes, explored rock pools at the local beaches, watched the Skookumchuck Narrows and visited the Iris Griffith nature centre. There are many other hikes and bike trails to explore if you have the time. We chose to spend a few lazy afternoons enjoying the sun down on the rocks below the house too.
The house it’s self is ideally suited to families with lots of thoughtful touches making it a home from home, we’ve stayed in several rentals since we had kids and this was by far the best equipped of them all. A well equipped kitchen makes cooking that much easier on vacation and the games and toys kept the kids entertained while we enjoyed the beautiful views and dinner on the deck. With 2 bedrooms on each level and 2 sitting areas, not to mention the 2 decks, this would work well for 2 families; we were 3 generations under and enjoyed the extra space that allowed everyone the space they needed to relax and unwind.
Matthew, the owner is helpful and responds quickly to questions and the house was lovely and clean on our arrival. We hope to return one day. Thank you for an awesome vacation!"

"My husband and I recently visited Vancouver for a week, and stayed here for the duration. The apartment had everything we needed, a comfortable bed, fully functioning kitchen and privacy. The neighbourhood is beautiful, and peaceful.
Free parking on the street was a bonus, even though we took the city bus for most of the week. The bus was accessible from this location, and will take you anywhere you need to go in the city.
We would highly recommend this suite to anyone visiting Vancouver!"

"We had a fantastic stay at the Aspens. The unit is comfortable, with all the amenities you might need. The beds are comfortable and the deck is spacious. Reshma was responsive and helpful. The location, in my opinion is perfect- close enough to the village, but away from the noise. We were there for Crankworx- lots of great energy in the village! I would definitely stay here again, perhaps for a winter retreat next time!! As there are two elevators, it is the one closest to the entrance of the parking garage."
