  • Lovely and clean garden suite

"We stayed here in late July and early August 2014. The suite was very clean, comfortable and had all the amenities for cooking and a washer and dryer. We had two girls (11 and 8) who fit nicely into the full bed. My wife and I stayed in the larger room and we were all comfortable. I do not think that 4 adults or larger children could sleep comfortably though. The suite is part of a two story home with tenants above but other than noticing some foot traffic here and there, they did not bother us. The washer and dryer are shared with the upstairs tenants, but there were no competition battles. You have your own driveway parking place. Steveston Village is charming and there are nice shops, good restaurants and the Cannery is a pretty neat landmark to visit and the owners allow you to use their free pass. This is the little town where ABC's "Once Upon a Time" is filmed. We informed the owner that our girls adored the show and she was very kind in providing us with tips on filming. The owners were also very attentive with our emails and always responded timely. We would visit again if we get back to Vancouver/Richmond. We did spend a lot of time touring (e.g., Vancouver, Victoria, Whistler) and the suite was a nice base of operations but toward the end of our trip, the drive into Vancouver got a little long. The only drawback as far as we were concerned."

  • Enjoyable weekend with our granddaughter

"This is our second stay at Maria's condo. We love the location with the easy access to all areas of Whistler and Blackcomb. If so inclined, one could cook a gourmet meal in the fully stocked kitchen, utensils, etc. We really appreciated the nice touches that make a difference ie. Starbuck's coffee, nice soap and bathroom amenities. Fortunately, there is an air conditioner in the main area and a fairly powerful fan in the bedroom as the weather has been hot. Our 14 year old granddaughter found the large pullout sofa in the living room comfortable. After a hot day bike riding and hiking the trails, we appreciated the opportunity to relax in front of the two televisions. We didn't use the pool as swimming isn't our thing, and our granddaughter opted out as well although there were many using it. Parking is $15.00 per day. The bike locker was full so we backed our vehicle close to the back wall of the parking stall in the hopes that our three bikes would not be stolen. They were fine last year and this year as well. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay in this unit on our next visit. Thank you Maria for adding your personal touches to ensure your guests enjoy their stay."

  • Very Accommodating

"The owners of this little slice of paradise were extremely kind and personable. We made a mistake in our rental dates and arrived one day early. Ray and his wife were more than willing to accommodate our needs. They even helped my 4 and 7 year old girls build sand castles in front of the property. They are simply amazing and wonderful people."

  • Comfortable, spacious and well fitted.

"We had a very comfortable and welcoming stay while in Abbotsford for a wedding. The house was well fitted and spacious and the location was great for sightseeing through the Fraser Valley. It's not far from highway access and it's close to shopping centres and restaurants. We would definitely stay again."
