  • Glad We Came Back

"My husband and I returned to Nature on Norwood because we had such a fabulous experience in the summer of 2013. The owners informed us that there was likely to be construction next door. We decided it was still worth it to be in that beautifully decorated, well-maintained suite and to have access to so many places in the area that we had enjoyed last summer. The owners greeted us when we arrived & had a booklet with all the info we would need during our stay. Essential phone numbers & a nearby market & supermarket were neatly placed on a board in the kitchen. The owners do not leave a stone unturned. They informed us of some events coming up at Lonsdale Quay & in West Vancouver, & elsewhere, that we thoroughly enjoyed. They graciously provided a generous number of food items to get us started, so we didn't have to shop after the long drive we had. We particularly enjoyed the Organic Mega 3 eggs and the Canadian syrup (best we ever had) which we used when we made pancakes. There was a rich, sweet surprise as well, in the frig. The listing description & photos were accurate. The suite looks brand new & was clean and beautifully decorated. All the modern appliances work perfectly. The frig is huge & it's easy to get items in and out. Washer & dryer are top of the line. There is great lighting inside & outside the suite. Plenty of towels & linens. Comfy throws on the living room couch. Large TV, books, magazines, maps, games, and suggestions of places to go are in the suite. All the comforts of home. My husband was thrilled again to have use of an outdoor barbecue, & we had several mouth-watering meals which we enjoyed on the deck. We always feel relaxed while sitting on the rocking chairs on the patio and feeling "one with it all" among their lovely flowers, shrubs & huge trees. Nature on Norwood, indeed. We have told friends & relatives about our experience and would recommend this property. We hiked in local parks, such as, Lynn Valley, and tood shorter walks in nearby local parks. Drove to West Vancouver to walk along the bay. Drove over the Lions Gate Bridge to Stanley Park. Drove to Costco in both Burnaby & in Vancouver City. Locally, besides the nearby market the owners suggested, we discovered a Persian market on 15th St. near Lonsdale Ave, where we bought many delicious fruits & veggies at great prices (blueberries, cherries, corn, & small Persian cucumbers). Ate at several Persian restaurants & pubs on Lonsdale Ave. as well. Glad we came back!"

  • A slice of heaven

"We have rented more than two dozen homes in several countries. Over time we have identified characteristics that make a trip especially memorable: jaw-dropping views and sunsets; convenience to airports, shopping, sightseeing, and excellent restaurants; outstanding architecture; top-of-the-line furnishings and appointments in every room; fully integrated electronics where everything works seamlessly; manicured grounds and gardens; abundant wildlife; a night sky ablaze with stars; owners who exude warmth and hospitality and service; even access to excellent medical care. We research extensively seeking several of these variables in one location. But never have we found them all at the same time, and in the same place – until we visited Thalassa Point. I could write paragraphs to amplify these qualities. I could note that a vacation destination where our children and friends eagerly travel thousands of miles to visit us must have some exceptional ambiance. Suffice it to say that wherever else our travels may take us, the one place on earth we will return to, every single year, is this extraordinary home."

  • Great Condo For A Summer Vacation

"We spent a week in this condo and loved it - the condo had enough space for our family of four, great pool for the kids, close to the beach, and close to any amenities/attractions that we checked out in the Kelowna area. The owners were happy to answer any questions and made our first experience with renting a VRBO property a positive experience."

  • Fantastic 60th Birthday get-away!!!!!

"We just got home from our one week stay at this lovely oceanfront vacation home. I want to turn around and go back to enjoy one more sunset followed by a soak in the fantastic tub with the full ocean view. This home has everything you could ever need to stay awhile and so much room for everyone. There were 4 of us on this get-away ... each of us had our own room ( 2 with picture perfect views) and 2 extra large bathrooms. Most of us found the beds comfortable. The livingroom/diningroom can easily accomodate a good size group without any problems. There is a deck that runs the whole length of the house and has a table and chairs for outside dining plus 4 lounge chairs to sit and soak up some rays. Loved the deck! The home was clean and had lots of available linen, laundry soap, etc. so there was little need to buy anything extra other than bottled water. We used the kitchen on a regular basis and after a little hunt and find we were able to find most everything we needed. The owner readily responded to any inquiries and I felt comfortable dealing with her. Pender Island is very laid back so if you want a place to sit back and relax this is the island for you! We found a number of trails/beaches that were perfect for getting out and about to see the local sights and wildlife. Down at Thieves Bay some of our group saw a small pod of Orcas just 15 feet off shore. We also spotted a humpback whale , porpoises, seals, and daily deer sightings (even under the deck). The one and only shopping "mall" had all the basics , including a grocery store/liquor store/post office/bakery/book store/gift shop/gas station, and pharmacy. There is a small farmer's market on saturday mornings - fun to pick up some local art or fresh vegies. We even visited a local winery and tasted two lovely white wines produced on the island. Lunch/brunch on sunday was at the Cafe at Hope Bay ... a gorgeous location for a nice little restaurant ,with a lot of local color and good food. What more can I say.... we will definately be back."
