"A beautiful drive, spanning nearly 2000 kilometers, is fantastically capped as our family of four pull in to the Mainsail and its perfect view of the Atlantic ocean. Before we can draw a breath of the salty air our amazing hosts are greeting us.
We get the welcoming tour and what a great place it is!
A very clean space with ample linens and stocked full of all the little things you don't want to have to get while away. Small extras provided by our hosts made going swimming, having a campfire or enjoying the Hubbard's parade even more amazing.
The photos are unable to capture the beauty of the setting or the surprising amount of space afforded within the cottage.
Hubbard's was full of amazing sites and activities. Our lucky timing coordinated with fireworks, a parade, and live performances on the cove. Everyone we met was welcoming and helpful when needed. If you have the pleasure of being in Hubbard's for the farmer's market it is an essential stop.
I would be remiss if I did not mention the ceilidh we experienced as our hosts, at the Trellis Cafe, gave us a memorable performance that is a highlight of our visit.
Every moment of our stay could be described like the music of that night.
"And the songs get louder,
Each one better than before"
We would be back in a heartbeat."

"My husband and I selected this home for its Inverness location and because it was dog-friendly. We were not disappointed. The house is wonderful, photos don't do it justice. The first thing I noticed was the wonderful windows and the bright and open floor plan. The house was clean and in good condition and fully equipped. There are so many wonderful places to sit, relax and enjoy the sunset and see the view of the water. The nearby Inverness Beach was wonderful for taking our dog to play in the surf. We drove the Cabot Trail, hiked Skyline Trail, took a tour and dined at the distillery and enjoyed nearby restaurants (The Red Shoe Pub and The Dancing Goat Café & Bakery to mention a couple.) Vicki was so easy to work with and it was great to have George to show us all we needed to know about the property and we knew he was nearby in case we needed him. We appreciated the new Weber gas grill and used it when we didn't go out to eat, and we loved the house's artsy charm and reclaimed furnishings. We're so glad we got to stay here for our visit to Cape Breton. Thanks to you Vicki and your family for sharing this special place with us."

"This is a beautiful Yarmouth home, built in the style of the 19th century sea captain's homes which Yarmouth is famous for. It is showing its age but has lots of character, charm and history that make a stay at this house a unique experience that you cannot get in many places. The house is well equipped, plenty of bathrooms, towels, plates, etc. We used the house for our 'home-away-from-home' for a Yarmouth wedding and it met our expectations to accommodate and receive out of town guests perfectly. The photographer loved the place and used the house for a number of the bridal party pre-wedding photos! The house offers privacy and is in a quiet neighbourhood. Dianna and David responded quickly and positively to our requests which added to the experience. I highly recommend this house!"

"Perfect in every way: proximity to National Park attractions, unobstructed views of Cape Smokey & the magnificent Atlantic Ocean. Total seclusion, yet right on the Cabot Trail with amenities handy. Singing Pebbles made me feel I was living a dream; cooking was a pleasure in the fantastically equipped & high end chef's kitchen with the million dollar view. It was an ideal setting to explore the Highlands Park western end. The only downside was that we had to vacate after our week flew by. I would definitely say that staying in such an exquisite house enhanced the natural wonders of this unique part of Cape Breton. Thank you Jitka for the care & imagination you & Gilbert invested in this special dwelling."
