"This is a wonderful place, nature, space, peace, tranquility. House is open and spacious with lots of light, a big deck with a view that takes your breath away. If you get a chance, go to stay at this place, don't miss it...
We also got to meet Darrel's father, a retired fisherman and gentleman, living a simple life in this remote part of Canada, way beyond phones and internet. His view of life is one to strive for...
If you go whale watching, go with Oshen's and captain Cyril Fraser, he was wonderful, a humble fisherman... we where out with them three times.

"We rented this home in Inverness with my husband, daughter, and my parents for a vacation in Cape Breton. The home is absolutely beautiful! The pictures don't do it justice. It is decorated so carefully with beautiful artwork and is full of natural light. The views of the water are amazing! The sunsets here are stunning. The home has everything you would need on vacation and more. Vicki is organized and easy to contact with questions. George, who manages the home locally is similarly warm and wonderful to work with.
We enjoyed walking down to the beach to look for seaglass and just relax. We also spent time in town enjoying the local coffee shop and restaurants. We were able to travel around Cape Breton and explore some local food and music. We went to the Gaelic College and saw the Cabot Trail. There is so much to do. Cape Breton is filled with some of the kindest people you will ever meet. We are counting the days until we can get back to Inverness!"

"This was our second year staying at the cottage, and we are already talking about when we want to book for next year. It's fully equipped with everything you'll need, just pack your clothes and some groceries and your set! Our group had 4 adults and 2 kids, and there was plenty of room. There was even a high chair for the little guy! The life guarded beach is a 2 minute walk over the sand dunes. The water is warm(ish) and shallow, perfect for kids. We didn't do a lot of exploring in the area because we like to spend our time on the beach, but we ate at the Clove & Hitch (good), The Bus (decent), and Bikinis and Trunks Ice Cream (good). Cellphone reception is poor in the area (we had Rogers & Bell phones), but there is wifi in the house and a landline."

"Excellent customer service from Kathy - thanks! Cottage was very comfortable for family of four and another couple. Sleeping arrangements worked well - for privacy we left couple to living room sofa bed and adjacent bath and family member on downstairs daybed used upstairs facility with rest of family.
Kitchen well-equipped for big meals. Lovely view and 'downhome' feel to the place. Great clothesline.
For a much more scenic start to the Cabot Trail turn right out of the driveway rather than going back to the highway."
