"We stayed here while some work was being done on our house. The house is near downtown and right around the corner from the Propeller Brewery which is convenient! The house is an older home but has a lot of charm with old floors, high ceilings, and moldings which was cool especially if you live in a more modern place. The house is across the street from the huge skating Oval for winter use (with free skates), and the Halifax Common, although not very green in the winter. Even though it was winter we used the BBQ in the backyard a lot... it would be amazing in summer as it is sheltered and private. We used only two bedrooms but all were well equipped. I saw a note about beds... the beds were fine and it appears that the one my wife and I used appeared brand new (plastic on box spring). The washer and dryer worked great and there is a great ice cream/burrito/coffee spot call DeeDee's around the corner. We had friends drop in a fair bit and this place is great for entertaining by itself and because it's right by all the restos/bars/events downtown. We parked mainly on the street and used the owners driveway next door and had no problem at all. The owners were available on phone/text all the time and helped with any questions or anything we needed. Overall, a great time, and while we were glad to get home, I would recommend to anyone, especially groups and those in town for weddings/events."

"As the "unofficial" trip co-ordinator, the pressure was certainly on yours truly from my travel companions to deliver a vacation experience of a certain level -
I am happy to report we hit a home run. The accomodations were excellent and the weather gods certainly smiled on Cape Breton during our stay. The staff at the golf club were very accomodating and everything went off without a hitch. We are already planning to book two condos next year for an expanded group of eight.

"We had a great stay at l'ecole rouge. Every day we awoke to the most amazing views. We had great fun watching the fishermen and the birds on the ocean. The property is clean and well maintained. We had 6 adults stay. There was a lot of room for everyone and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. The owner was very easy to reach and answered all of questions."

"We stayed for 4 days at the shore house and it was one of the best experiences we had. Very clean, cozy house. In a second the feeling you arrived home. The best spot you can imagine, drinking your morning coffee sitting in the chair overlooking the bay. You don't need more than that. But there is plenty more. Eat lobster at the shore club is a must. We dropped by at the beaches around, like queensland, bayswater beach.
When going to peggy's cove, drop by at 'White Sails Bakery & Deli' along the road, in Tantallon. great food with a great outside terrace to sit and look.
Lunenburg is a nice city to visit.
All in all a great stay, perfect house and great environment."
