"We stayed at the Sunset Piper from 7/11-7/19 and it was truly amazing! The property is breathtaking and the views are stunning on all sides. We had a large family reunion outside on the huge property and there was plenty of room for everyone. The house is very comfortable and accomodating for our large family. The beautiful Melmurby Beach is less than 5 minutes away and lots of free parking and no crowds to deal with. The owners were so easy to deal with and responded to our requests immediately. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting and entertainment by the house "Piper" Harold at our family party. He was a huge hit with all the guests! Would definitely recommend this vacation rental as it was truly a week to remember."

"Beautiful drive on the way there, it's a remote area with a store just before the last road in (Co-Op). Great place to relax with an excellent view. The bed in the main bedroom is very comfortable as well. Kitchen well equipped for all your cooking needs."

"Beginning with the only weak area is the stairs. I don't know why I didn't consider that Lunenburg is built on a steep grade - duh! But as a 60 yr old woman who has some joint problems, coming from the waterfront and up the steep sidewalks, by the time that I started climbing the stairs to the 3rd floor loft, I thought I might die. If you have knee, foot or hip problems, it becomes necessary to plan your day so you aren't returning frequently. Everything about this apartment is pleasing to the eye. We brought 2 grandchildren ages 9 and 11 and we found ourselves extremely content here. The location was perfect. Endless opportunities to explore and dine. We could see the Bluenose from the deck and watched it go out - WOW. Together we snapped 500 photos from the deck and they are all masterpieces suitable for framing. The kitchen is nicely set-up for cooking with plenty of room. Though we didn't use it, it was nice to have a washing machine available. We had a great sense of being welcome in this well-thought-out rental unit. I plan to return."

"This was a great house for our multi-generational group. My sister and I (60 years old) took our 80+ year old aunts on a short trip to Nova Scotia. This place was just perfect. They had the downstairs bedroom and bathrooms and we each had our own bedroom and bath upstairs. The kitchen was well equipped. Loved the décor, it is unique and comfortable. Any question I had before and during the visit, the owner answered quickly (via email or text) and was a lot of help. Donna across the road was available if I had any questions while there, and she had great hints. It is 'around the curve' from Peggy's Cove and the back door looks out a cove of its own. The internet was fast and helpful for making reservations for the return trip home. We had breakfast in the farmhouse...and then ventured out the rest of the meals. Great home base for visiting Halifax, Lunenberg, Peggys' cove. The Beds were so comfortable and I am going to ask where the quilts on the bed were from, I want one for my home, it was so comfy. Each room had its own thermostat, so if you preferred a cooler room for sleeping, as I do, it was great or if you were my 80+ year old Aunts and needed a warmer room to sleep in, that also was possible."
