"My family and I had a wonderful week at the cottage. It was hard to pack the car and leave. The cottage was perfect for the six of us. We never felt crowded. Loved the hardwood floors and the bright kitchen. Was nice to have a washer and dryer. The cottage was well stocked. The neighbors were friendly.
My grandsons loved swimming in the bay. We took trips to Halifax, Lunenburg and Peggy's Cove. We visited the bakery and enjoyed a sugar pie and blueberry pie.
The sunsets and night sky were beautiful. A beautiful and peaceful place to be.
It was a long trip from Maryland but well worth it."

"Just home from a lovely week spent at Xanadu. Fantastic views and unbelievable sunsets, and a wonderful base from which to explore nearby Cape George, Arisaig and Antigonish. Terrific fishing, and the kids enjoyed exploring the rocks, and watching for seals and bald eagles from the porch. The cottage itself is gorgeous, with huge windows facing the water and the lovely sea air flowing in from every direction."

"Everything about this location is outstanding! The house itself is gorgeous, with incredible views. Some of the best sunsets we have seen anywhere. The area is also beautiful with beaches, lookouts, coves, and scenic drives. We didn't want to leave! While staying here we did the drive around the Cabot Trail which is a definite must do if you are in the area and perfect for a day trip. We stopped for lunch and at one store as well as a few of the scenic lookouts and were back in 10 hours. If we are ever lucky enough to travel back to this area I wouldn't hesitate to book Kelly's retreat again."

"This was our second year staying at the cottage, and we are already talking about when we want to book for next year. It's fully equipped with everything you'll need, just pack your clothes and some groceries and your set! Our group had 4 adults and 2 kids, and there was plenty of room. There was even a high chair for the little guy! The life guarded beach is a 2 minute walk over the sand dunes. The water is warm(ish) and shallow, perfect for kids. We didn't do a lot of exploring in the area because we like to spend our time on the beach, but we ate at the Clove & Hitch (good), The Bus (decent), and Bikinis and Trunks Ice Cream (good). Cellphone reception is poor in the area (we had Rogers & Bell phones), but there is wifi in the house and a landline."
