"Our family of 5 loved our stay at this wonderful cottage. There was plenty of room for everyone and, like so many other reviews have stated, the view is absolutely incredible. We enjoyed having campfires on our own private beach, eating on the deck while taking in the view, and of course, the sound of the waves as the tide came in. So peaceful and relaxing. We found the location to be very handy to everywhere we wanted to go - Halifax, Peggy's Cove, Lunenberg, fabulous sandy beaches, kayaking - to name a few. Our family made many wonderful memories that week, and the cottage was the perfect place to do that!!"

Wish we could have spent more time at Stoneybrook House
"A bunch of friends and I stayed at Stoneybrook House while we were in Chester for a wedding. Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night but we definitely could have stayed for much longer. It would be the perfect vacation house for a family or group of friends staying for a week in the South Shore. The stream running behind the house is quite picturesque as is the whole property."

"A beautiful drive, spanning nearly 2000 kilometers, is fantastically capped as our family of four pull in to the Mainsail and its perfect view of the Atlantic ocean. Before we can draw a breath of the salty air our amazing hosts are greeting us.
We get the welcoming tour and what a great place it is!
A very clean space with ample linens and stocked full of all the little things you don't want to have to get while away. Small extras provided by our hosts made going swimming, having a campfire or enjoying the Hubbard's parade even more amazing.
The photos are unable to capture the beauty of the setting or the surprising amount of space afforded within the cottage.
Hubbard's was full of amazing sites and activities. Our lucky timing coordinated with fireworks, a parade, and live performances on the cove. Everyone we met was welcoming and helpful when needed. If you have the pleasure of being in Hubbard's for the farmer's market it is an essential stop.
I would be remiss if I did not mention the ceilidh we experienced as our hosts, at the Trellis Cafe, gave us a memorable performance that is a highlight of our visit.
Every moment of our stay could be described like the music of that night.
"And the songs get louder,
Each one better than before"
We would be back in a heartbeat."

"Dear Meg and Paul,
Thank-you for the use of your house. It suited all of us perfectly.
It was good to meet you on Saturday night as we felt so much of your presence in the house. Thanks to you, Meg, for being such a sterling hostess.
