Recent Bruce Peninsula reviews

  • Outstanding

"We go to Bruce Peninsula to spend a whole week with the family. The house has amazing lawns, plenty of space for everything. The HOT tube is outside and has space for 5 people. The situation of the house is remarkable, close to Wiarton, abut separate enough to have the proper peace and rest. On the down side, the washing machine stopped to work but the owners contact us the same day offering to repair it. One thing to have in mind is that between the house and the lake, there is a road, so child need supervision the whole time."

  • Perfect week

"My adult daughter and myself had a wonderful week at this cottage. It was a great place for hiking right from the door, and swimming off the rocks below the cottage. We had fires in the evening while watching the sun set and toasting marshmallows. Nona had given us lots of advice on what to bring and what to do while we were there and we took her advice, including looking at the stars reclining on the chairs from the garage. It was a perfect place with an amazing view and very comfortable cottage. We cooked all our meals and had everything we needed. Tobermory is easily accessible as is Sauble Beach. Singing Sands beach was a fun experience. Overall we could not have asked for more and hope to be back."

  • A relaxing week in a beautiful and comfortable setting!

"We have just returned from a fantastic week at Miller Lake on The Bruce Peninsula. The lake is about 3 miles long and provides enough space for some water excursions without ever getting too busy. The area has maintained an unspoilt and uncommercial feel to it so you really do feel like you can step back in time and relax in style! We spent our time messing around on the lake going on short excursions in the canoe. As we started to feel more adventurous we hired various water craft from Summer House including kayaks, water bikes and a motor boat. Trips to Tobermory for dinner (The Crowsnest Pub was a favourite) and a bit of wandering around was good fun. We also went lighthouse spotting and on a boat trip to Flowerpot Island which was excellent. The cottage was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The setting was perfect and we had a fantastic week. Thanks for letting us borrow your cottage! We'll be back."
