  • Lovely cottage - private and quiet and just close enough to the action

"My friends and I just spent two nights at this lovely cottage over the Aug holiday weekend. NOTL is a busy town during the summer and this rental was just far enough away to provide some relaxing quiet but close enough to everything you may want to do. You can connect with the recreation trail just up the street and cycle with the Niagara River on one side and wineries on the other - I recommend going as far as the Ice House Winery to enjoy their ice wine slushies. After a day of cycling it was great to come back to the cottage and enjoy a glass of wine in the garden - which is beautiful. The cottage is well equipped all you need to bring is your food and beverages. The screen porch was the perfect spot to enjoy breakfast or relax with a book. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking to spend a few days in NOTL."

  • Amazing Time

"My friends and I, who have just graduated University, decided to take a cottage trip to celebrate. This cottage was truly breathtaking. Not only did it have everything we needed and more, the scenery and building were just incredible. Myself and my friends were truly blessed to have found a place as awesome as this. We had only stayed for 3 nights, but we do wish we could have stayed more. We most definitely will be coming back for a reunion sometime within the year."

  • Comfortable and cosy

"We spent 3 nights at this comfortable property in a low-key Picton neighbourhood. The listing description is accurate and the place is generally very clean. It is within a 10min walk to the downtown. All the basics (utensils, pots, dishes) are available for the kitchen and meals are easily prepared... unless you want to take advantage of some of the great restaurants in the area. The bedroom is upstairs and it is very quiet for sleeping (even with the windows open). The stairs are a little steep / awkward but you get used to them after a few trips. We are cyclists and this was the perfect location for several short (30km) to longer (70km) routes right from the door. There is also a place to store the bikes inside which was great."

  • Charming Getaway

"Wonderful rustic island cabin with all of the amenities. Great sunsets and sunrises from the two large desks along with morning wake-up calls from the pair of loons that cruise the nearby waterways. The fishing was great from both the boat and the two docks (nice to separate the teenage fishermen and their hooks). Our teenagers loved exploring the island to find just the right fishing spot. They even found a great spot for their overnight hammocks with great water views. The early morning visits to the dock by the resident mink was quite a treat although the 30 minute dock visit by the river otter was outstanding. On the deck, we were close enough to hear him enjoying his fish catches. The cabin is well stocked but is starting to show a bit more of the rustic elements. The caretaker Jerry could not have been more helpful. This was one of the few vacations that I really did not want to leave. Given the rocky island edges and the depth of the water, I would not recommend this for young children. For teenagers interested in the outdoors, the internet was of no interest, they went for the kayaks and fishing versus their game consoles. Bring a great book, as the decks are ideal locations for a great read. We spent one afternoon off the island and enjoyed a great harbor walk in Little Current (20 minute drive) along with a great fish dinner at the Anchor Inn. Can't wait to go back!"
