Great Condo - close enough to the Falls but in a quiet neighborhood
"I stayed here with my Dad (Father's Day present to try Indoor Skydiving)! Easy to find, great location. Everything was very clean and the kitchen was WELL equipped. I mean, you could've baked cookies if you were so inclined. And the little touches like the ice cube trays were already filled was very thoughtful. I like to eat out infrequently - it gets to be expensive, it's difficult to eat healthily, and I feel it takes too long just to have lunch, so this was FANTASTIC. Breakfast in every morning, the ability to prepare healthy snacks to have throughout the day - enough money saved to have a delightful dinner at AG at The Sterling, and at 360 in the CN Tower in Toronto! There were plenty of towels, the beds were comfortable, and water was hot. Parking was right out front.
I will say there was an odd, constant noise - akin to the low hum of steam being released, for the entire stay. At first I thought it might be the AC but it was still there when the AC was turned off. My Dad is losing his hearing and ever HE mentioned it. You could hear it upstairs AND downstairs. I'm not sure what it was, but it would have been a significant nuisance if I had stayed longer.
The dishwasher was a blessing for sure but it was VERY loud to run. The walls for the entire building were relatively thin. I bring earplugs with me on vacation so the noise was muffled enough to fall asleep, but if I didn't have them it would have been a struggle to fall asleep.
There was a binder with information and instructions regarding the condo - the only thing I had wished I was informed of prior to arriving was that I would be responsible for buying additional toilet paper and paper towels. It wasn't a problem doing so, I just wish I was informed ahead of time so that I could just bring from home instead of wasting time shopping for those items while on vacation. Maybe something to include in the initial paperwork or on the website listing.
Overall I am very happy this was the property I selected. It's about a 30 minute walk to the welcome center at the Falls through a lovely neighborhood. If you choose to drive there are parking options near the skylon tower that progresses from $5-$10 throughout the course of the day, no need to pay $20 closer to the falls, it's the same walking distance either way.
I would recommend this place to anyone - a MUCH better experience than any chain hotel!"
