  • So Private and Tranquil

"My sister was visiting from California. We rented Waynes cabin with three other friends. Five women! We had a wonderful time. We took advantage of all the cabin and property had to offer. Saunas. Firepit at night with s'mores. Kayaking. Hiking. Fires in the evening in the cabin. The mornings are extraordinary if you like to get up early. The mist oen the lake combined with the wildlife waking up is breathtaking. The lake is delightful for kayaking and canoeing. My grandfather owned 100 acres in northern Ontario and this place took me back to my childhood and the wonder and awe of natures simplicity. You never have to leave the property but if you do, it is very close to both Haliburton and Minden. The area is rich with artists studios and galleries. This cabin is not to be missed! Oh, and the chipmunks (fondly chippies) will keep a smile on your face as they dash across the deck in their search for acorns. Truly a place to let go of the everyday stresses and just be in the moment."

  • Great holiday location

"Our family group of 4 adults and one child spent a great week at Perryloon! Very private and peaceful location, as advertised, with all the comforts of home. Handy to shopping in nearby villages of Novar and Kearney, and not very far to Huntsville either. Very generous common areas, lots of comfortable chairs/couches, large deck, really comfy beds. Nice beach for youngsters with gradual entry into water. New dock. Clean, quiet lake - we loved hearing the 2 resident loons each evening. Made good use of the firepit area too and the canoe. Very attractively landscaped. We would return!"

  • A fantastic place to relax after a long day of work at Poutinefest

"We really enjoyed our stay at this property! It had all of the comforts of home (and then some) and the location was a very short commute down to City Hall, which is exactly what we were looking for! The beds were extremely comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped and the steps off of the back deck that lead to the extra parking made it so easy to pack and unpack our belongings. We have already recommended this property to other friends who are traveling to Ottawa in the coming months and we will most definitely stay here again when we participate in next year's Poutinefest."
