"I spent a week at West Water Place with my partner, daughter, son in law and two nine year old grandsons. This is a beautiful spot right across from the water where we could swim, suggest water shoes as there is a lot of flat rocks, my grandsons spent hours skipping stones on the water. This is a well equipped, comfortable house, that feels homey. It is convenient to Main Street, Wellington where there are restaurants, especially The Tall Poppy for great baked goods, and healthy food, grocery, farmers market, beach, cycling trails and 9 hole golf course. On arrival, the owner met us and gave us a quick tour of the house, which was very helpful. I would most definitely stay there again."

  • A Fanastic Place on the St Lawrence River

"We had a wonderful stay at Twin Oaks. It is exactly as the photos are shown. We also did a lot of adventures away from our home as we like to learn about the area we are visiting. At Prescott we went to the Market on Sat. and did the shops, marina and the beach. We saw Fort Wellington and the Battle of the Windmill area which has a lovely picnic spot at the water's edge. We went to Upper Canada Village and stopped at the Iroquois locks to watch a ship go through. We went to Ottawa for Canada Day and Kingston on Wed for the Sunset ceremony at Fort Henry and the ghost tour there (when you go to Upper Canada Village you get fee tickets for Fort Henry.) After learning more about the building of the St Lawrence Seaway, we decided we should go to the Lost Villages Museum at Long Sault then we did a play at Upper Canada Playhouse at Morrisburg. We enjoyed each area we went to. Yes we did have time to also have fun on the river at Twin Oakes. Went swimming but nice we brought pool noodles as the bottom is rather squishy and we used the kayaks which was lots of fun. Great views of the ships going by and lots of small boats and birds to watch too. Thanks C & R! And the deep fried cheese curds with salsa at O'Heaphy's on King St in Prescott are so yummy!"

  • Brilliant secluded vacation spot!

"I would absolutely recommend this cottage to anyone who is looking for a private, relaxing getaway up North. The cottage was clean, well maintained and had everything we needed. The owner was very responsive and made sure that we arrived safely and knew everything that we needed to know in terms of arrival and operating everything at the cottage. It was a great experience all around and we will absolutely be returning!!"

  • Everything We Needed

"We rented the cottage over a weekend for an extended family getaway. We had people staying that ranged in age from 3 years old to 90 years old and the cottage worked well for everyone. Location is off the main road but on a dead end so very quiet and private. It is centrally located and easy access to everything we wanted and needed. Grocery store is just 5 minutes away and Blue Mountain Village is 10 minutes away. The waterfront was lovely to look at but none of us were tempted to go in the water as it was September and we were afraid it would be too cold. The cottage is exactly as it appears in the photos. It is well maintained, clean and comfortable. The AC unit disappeared before we got there which was an issue when we first arrived as there was a heat warning that day but a strong thunderstorm cleared it up that evening and we were fine with leaving windows open. Kimble and Kathy were great to deal with. Kathy provided a lot of information about things to do in the area. She was incredibly helpful and accomodating and was able to assist us with securing a second cottage for the rest of the family (we were a party of 20 overall). They were able to accomodate a couple of special requests we had. This also included allowing the dog (Bernese) where a lot of other renters won't allow this. It's great to deal with people who are happy to help make your stay as wonderful as they can. This really made our weekend. I have already recommended to a friend and would definitely rent this again."
