  • Perfect 'Home away from home' for our Family Gathering

"Our family group (from BC; Alberta; Ontario; Quebec), enjoyed this facility during the period 07/11/2014 through 07/17/2014. Just to repeat our many thanks to you Frank, for providing a wonderful & relaxing place for all of us to hang our collective hats for a few days. We would highly recommend your site to friends & extended family members, should they be in need of a fun filled & laid back atmosphere. Hoping to return again (maybe in the winter next time)...."

  • Clean, Modern, Beautiful Property!

"The Relaxing Waterfront Retreat, is exactly that! Mike and Monica were amazing hosts. During the entire booking process, they were kind and fair, and very open and honest with us. My husband and I booked this property for our family for a quick getaway. It was absolutely perfect! There are 5 rooms, all clean and updated. Monica left us with clean sheets, towels and a spotless house! The home itself is inviting, open and tastefully rustic. It has a very genuine "cottagey" feel to it, which our families loved! We were so happy that we were allowed to bring our small dog Leo, which made our trip complete. The waterfront has a great dock (and Muskoka chairs!) along with a canoe, paddleboat, and kayak just for our use! There was a shed filled with water guns, and fishing equipment as well. The water was great to swim in, and theres a Provincial Park (Frontenac) just minutes away of you're looking to hike! There's a games room downstairs that has a great ping-pong table if it rains, and some family friendly board games. Not to mention a huge flatscreen TV complete with lots of DVDs! We were so happy and pleased with our stay, and will definitely be booking again and again! Thank you for your hospitality and letting us stay in your beautiful home!"

  • A Fanastic Place on the St Lawrence River

"We had a wonderful stay at Twin Oaks. It is exactly as the photos are shown. We also did a lot of adventures away from our home as we like to learn about the area we are visiting. At Prescott we went to the Market on Sat. and did the shops, marina and the beach. We saw Fort Wellington and the Battle of the Windmill area which has a lovely picnic spot at the water's edge. We went to Upper Canada Village and stopped at the Iroquois locks to watch a ship go through. We went to Ottawa for Canada Day and Kingston on Wed for the Sunset ceremony at Fort Henry and the ghost tour there (when you go to Upper Canada Village you get fee tickets for Fort Henry.) After learning more about the building of the St Lawrence Seaway, we decided we should go to the Lost Villages Museum at Long Sault then we did a play at Upper Canada Playhouse at Morrisburg. We enjoyed each area we went to. Yes we did have time to also have fun on the river at Twin Oakes. Went swimming but nice we brought pool noodles as the bottom is rather squishy and we used the kayaks which was lots of fun. Great views of the ships going by and lots of small boats and birds to watch too. Thanks C & R! And the deep fried cheese curds with salsa at O'Heaphy's on King St in Prescott are so yummy!"

  • Great Vacation With Extended Family

"One of the gauges we use about the quality of a family vacation is the response from our children when asked about returning. How about "yes! when are we coming back!" Three grandparents 6 siblings ages 10-25 and my wife and I had plenty of room to spread out, have space when needed, and all be together for meals, games and movies. We went on walks, runs, family swims around the island in front of the cabin, canoed, kayaked and enjoyed great fishing off the dock. We were lucky to be there the evening a family down the lake put on a spectacular fireworks display! What a great way to end the week. What a great vacation.!!!"
