  • Perfect for an extended stay!

"We stayed for 3 weeks in January while in Toronto visiting our daughter for the birth of her first child. The apartment was perfect! A most convenient location with short walks (under 10 mins) to TTC and shopping on Danforth or in Gerrard Square in spite of the cold weather. The apartment I s well designed, spacious, very clean, attractively decorated and is most comfortable. The photos provide an excellent representation. The kitchen was a delight to use and was equipped with everything we needed to prepare our own meals (and many dinners for delivery to the new mom and dad). In spite of the extra cold weather, the apartment was warm and cozy with the gas fireplace providing additional warmth to a very comfortable living room which also faces south and gets any sun throughout the day. The third floor master bedroom is large with a luxurious ensuite bathroom, which has lovely natural light from the south facing window and is well appointed - I found the air jet soaker tub nicely invigorating. When we arrived in the middle of a snow storm, Wilfred was very welcoming and provided a helpful orientation to the apartment and area. He and Brad maintain a fabulous property and we would love to return."

  • Superb location, modern home.

"Lots of nice restaurants, shops and metro station walking distance. Very close to farmer's market on the weekend. The house is very comfortable, spotless and beautifully designed. Stephanie made sure we had all we needed to make our stay very enjoyable. Highly recommend it!"

  • Perfect house for Toronto visit with kids!

"We loved staying on this quiet, lovely street. Loved how every house in the neighborhood was slightly different and most every one was well kept up. So nice to be in a neighborhood with real families vs. being in a hotel! Less than 5 minute walk to the subway and 6-8 quick stops into the heart of Toronto. 1.5 block walk to Danforth where we had several delicious meals (Wazema, The Wren, The Signature Kitchen, breakfast at the Patisserie 1 block over), and were able to buy simple groceries. Loved how multicultural the area was and very safe. 1 block away from 2 playgrounds and parks. The house itself was also perfect - very clean, well stocked kitchen. We should have put our kids on the futon but didn't notice it was one until we'd already used the bed and didn't want to muss up new sheets - all the beds are quiet high. I had a look around on google earth before we went which was fun as I was already familiar with some of the local shops/restaurants. Check out the nearby comic book store too! Lots of good kids comics. Thank you Lissa for sharing your lovely home! We enjoyed the board games provided as well."

  • Everything one can hope for!

"Amazing apartment that went beyond our expectations. Lovely, spotless, comfortable, affordable, convenient location, kind and helpful owners. We spent our summer in the pied-a-terre, we had the best time one could have hoped. We found the apartment easily, the pictures don't even do it justice... such a wonderful place! Everything there is practical, there is a huge bathtub (which cannot be seen on the pictures), the garden is peaceful and very quiet, thus very enjoyable during the hot summer days. The only drawback being that the air-conditioning is monitored by the upstairs apartment. So be ready to have a pair of trainers and a jacket on hand even in the hottest days of summer if you have neighbors who love it very cold inside on such days. Despite this negligible shortcoming, the location is perfect, 15 meters from the lively and vibrating College Street, but shed from its traffic and nuisance. There is a streetcar stop taking you downtown just across the street, a Starbucks coffee and an organic shop within slipper-radius, and countless bars and restaurants within walking distance. If you don't want to depend on the arbitrariness of the streetcar, it is possible to walk to Ossington subway station in less than 10 minutes. Just brilliant. The owners were perfect as well, doing their best to make our Canadian experience an unforgettable one. Any problem/request, even tiny, was dealt with in a blink of an eye. They seemed very obliging and made us feel welcome. We will definitely come back again, maybe next time trying one of the upstairs flats. Thank you Jen and Dave for your hospitality, you made our summer the greatest so far!"
