  • Second Great Year in a Row!

"This was our second year at Treasure Point and it was just as great as the first. We spent the week boating, fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking and relaxing. The children ranged from 9 to 12 years old and all had a great time (and we didn't even give them the Wi-Fi code!). The cottage is big enough to comfortably fit both of our families and provides all the amenities. We look forward to our next visit!"

  • Terrific Place to Stay

"We tried to rent the house for a family wedding on the August long weekend only to find that it was already rented. Laura suggested we use the 40' park model trailer and it turned out to be a remarkable suggestion. There was plenty of room for all 5 of us (2 adults and 3 teenagers) and the trailer was stocked with everything one could possibly need for a stay (the only thing we needed was our food). There was even a bag of batteries for the lanterns and remotes! They had set up a tent beside the trailer with an inflatable queen bed. Our youngest son was in heaven! The WiFi was very strong and stable which made all the kids very happy (although I think they watched a little too much NetFlix). We had full use of the grounds, pool, deck, fire pit etc. Ed and Laura checked on us every day to make sure that everything was fine and to see if there was anything that we needed. Laura even brought us an iron and ironing board so that we could clean up our wrinkled clothes for the wedding. Even though there was a shower in the trailer, they insisted that we could use the shower in house any time we wanted. I couldn't imagine better hosts. I would highly recommend that anyone who is travelling to Thunder Bay check out this little jewel in the North. Whether you stay in the house or the trailer, you should have a great experience."

  • Outstanding

"We go to Bruce Peninsula to spend a whole week with the family. The house has amazing lawns, plenty of space for everything. The HOT tube is outside and has space for 5 people. The situation of the house is remarkable, close to Wiarton, abut separate enough to have the proper peace and rest. On the down side, the washing machine stopped to work but the owners contact us the same day offering to repair it. One thing to have in mind is that between the house and the lake, there is a road, so child need supervision the whole time."

  • Totally relaxing stay to get away from it all

"We stayed at Patricia's lovely lakehouse last weekend and had such a wonderful time. First off, Patricia is a super nice lady who will show you around and be available if you need anything during your stay (unlikely given that pretty much everythign is provided for you!) Be aware, that the rental is only for the lake house - you wont have access to the larger home which is occupied by the owner :) The acre property is huge and litterally right on the water. As you approach, you have your own parking area behind gates. Youll see the fire pit area (unfortunately we only used it one night -- too exhuasted from all our swiming and kayaking) and a beautiful agrden area. The shower is outdoors but surprisingly really nice and refreshing after a day in the lake. The water temeprature was perfect and pressure right on. We were lucky enough to be able to bring our dog with us - and she just loved it here. The lakehouse is situated below the house, down a winding staircase thats quite pretty. Once you see the lake it litteally takes your breath away. We had a wonderful sleep each nice and it was so nice to hear the water and soft waves crashing. We had full use of the BBQ which we used often for our meals and the room is furnished with a small refridgerator. Patricia gave us soem fresh herbs from her garden to use in our cooking which went awesome with our roasted potatoes and beer can chicken! :) She also allowed us use of her kayak which we couldnt get enough of. The water is crystal clear and so clean and refreshing. My only suggestions for future would be: maybe a bigger fridge down the road? lol we packed alot of food and beverages so it was ab it hard to stuff it all in there. Also a mosquito net over the bed would be sooo amazing. We had a bit of trouble findign the pots and pans and plates for use - but with a bit of diggin around we found them! Overall, we would definately recommend this property for people looking to escape it all. We didnt have any luck with connecting to wi-fi or even beign able to make any phone calls but to be honest...that was part of the reason why we had such a good relaxing stay. It was a great opportunity to get away from it all. LCBO and grocery store is 10 mins away by car. Super convenient! Thanks again Patricia! Fio, Adam and Bayleigh"
