  • A Perfect Week

"Last week my family and I spent an incredibly relaxing weekend in the County.....made so much more so by the incredible accommodations. Whether time is spent relaxing in the screened porch over the longest breakfasts or in front of the fire on a surprisingly cool summer night, kicking a soccer ball around the field out back or soaking in the claw foot tub, every corner of this farmhouse is beautifully appointed. No convenience has been overlooked. There is so much to do in the region. We spent time at the beach (Sandbanks), dropped in on wineries and cheese factories, visited artist studios and caught the performances of some local musicians. But at the end of every day we looked forward to coming back to the farmhouse. So much so that we cancelled plans to eat out a couple of nights; a cosy evening at the farm was just too tempting."

  • A Fanastic Place on the St Lawrence River

"We had a wonderful stay at Twin Oaks. It is exactly as the photos are shown. We also did a lot of adventures away from our home as we like to learn about the area we are visiting. At Prescott we went to the Market on Sat. and did the shops, marina and the beach. We saw Fort Wellington and the Battle of the Windmill area which has a lovely picnic spot at the water's edge. We went to Upper Canada Village and stopped at the Iroquois locks to watch a ship go through. We went to Ottawa for Canada Day and Kingston on Wed for the Sunset ceremony at Fort Henry and the ghost tour there (when you go to Upper Canada Village you get fee tickets for Fort Henry.) After learning more about the building of the St Lawrence Seaway, we decided we should go to the Lost Villages Museum at Long Sault then we did a play at Upper Canada Playhouse at Morrisburg. We enjoyed each area we went to. Yes we did have time to also have fun on the river at Twin Oakes. Went swimming but nice we brought pool noodles as the bottom is rather squishy and we used the kayaks which was lots of fun. Great views of the ships going by and lots of small boats and birds to watch too. Thanks C & R! And the deep fried cheese curds with salsa at O'Heaphy's on King St in Prescott are so yummy!"

  • Family reunion

"We have a big family reunion in the Scarborough area for my mom's 90th birthday. The house is spacious, the bedrooms are big and clean, the open concept living room/kitchen was a big plus for gathering around while kids play and adults can talk. We did not get to use the outdoors, since it has snowed quite a few days, we were happy to have the space indoors to hang out.we will definitely come again, maybe this time in spring."

  • Exceptional vacation

"We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. Its interior was spacious, thoughtfully decorated, and very modern. My young grandchildren were thrilled with the open concept of the living and dining rooms and the kitchen which extended to a lovely enclosed deck. The children felt that they had the run of the house. The deck itself was an added bonus as it overlooked the lake and provided opportunity for a peaceful interval. We were impressed by how child-friendly the cottage was with its huge yard, swings, slide, trampoline and tree house for the kids. We picnicked close to the dock and enjoyed the fresh lake water. The owner was accommodating and promptly responded to all our questions. This cottage is a definite must for those wanting a great Muskoka holiday."
