"Great location - very central to the Anne sights, and near a great beach! Nice family home - very clean and modern with great kitchen. Living room/lounging area a bit small for our group of 7 - no place to get away from the crowd. Master Bdrm fabulous! Other bdrms very small - only good for sleeping. Owners/staff wonderful! Responsive to questions and have a great FAQ notebook. Also have big video library for rainy days. Over an hour to get to Charlottetown if you've never been...
The owners suggest buying pre-cooked lobsters in the next town (5 min drive) - great idea to avoid the cooking - good price, and yummy (if a bit messy).
Not a good choice for someone with mobility issues. Bedrooms are all on second floor - Stairs are a bit steep and go around a corner, so difficult to manage."

"My husband and I so enjoyed our time at Whitesails! The cottage is welcoming, beautifully decorated, perfectly located, and well equipped. We cooked most meals in and the kitchen is greatly stocked, plus it was nice having the grill out the back door. We loved the gorgeous view from the living room of the harbor. The bed was more comfortable than my own! Having the washer/dryer on site was nice. The wifi worked great. We enjoyed the bikes in the garage.
The location of the cottage was another huge plus. Having never been to the island before, we just hoped we were making a good choice of where to stay and it couldn't have been any better - very central to everything.
Beyond the cottage - the island has so many things to offer! We biked to Cavendish one day, did the nature trails in the National Park another day, and we enjoyed the walking the boardwalk daily. Anne and Gilbert the Musical is Charlottetown was great. We loved driving around looking for lighthouses and the beautiful heritage roads. And the Charter Bank tour was really neat as well.
Prince Edward Island made for a perfect vacation and we are very thankful for such wonderful owners opening up their cottage!"

"My husband and I enjoyed a blissful three weeks at this little cottage by the sea and would have loved to have stayed longer. There were no surprises! The information provided on VRBO is very descriptive and plenty of photos. This place is a little gem and we were delighted with our choice. We loved the privacy and the quiet along with the ability to get in the kitchen and enjoy the fresh local produce purchased at the near by market at Stanley Bridge on Wed. & Sat. mornings. You could also purchase ready made frozen meals and fresh bread at the market from Shipwrights Café that are fabulous! Yes....we would recommend Bay Wood Cottage and would love to return."

Pristine home with to-be-seen water view, very close to Cavendish!
"The home was so pristine and charming. It was very spacious, with 3 sitting rooms/living rooms. There was a generous welcoming gift with both sweet and salty goodies. All kitchen appliances looked new and worked well, there were many dishes to use as well as oils, spices and condiments, even coffee and coffee filters! The beds were very comfortable and there were many fans to keep you cool at night. All the linens were very clean and of high quality. The deck was so welcoming and relaxing, even in the rain, and plenty of seating for many guests. We wish we could bring this water view to our own back yard! We had coffee and breakfast on the deck every morning. We had fun playing the board games found in the closet, especially Apples to Apples. It was a lovely vacation spot that brought relaxation to our small family group, aged 12-79! Thanks!"
