"Our family of 4 enjoyed our week at an Island Escape! Our young kids (6&3) loved the pool, open space & the great weather. Mom & Dad enjoyed the quiet and slow pace of being away from a busy everyday life while the kids could easily occupy themselves. Melanie and Dixie were fabulous and the cottage had everything we needed and more! Looking forward to a return trip!"

"First of all Susan and Patty are the best! They did everything to make our stay enjoyable. From spoiling us with breakfast treats and sweet treats to providing us with a grill and accessories for a home cooked seafood dinner. They were really concerned about making our stay perfect. This is a nice central location for getting around PEI and seeing what the island has to offer. North Rustico is a quaint harbor town but also a tourist stop for the lobster supper. You can ride to a paved bike trail and the (quiet) beach is only a 5 minute walk from the house. There is a new boardwalk that you can take to town and a fresh seafood market. We would stay here again if we come back. Thanks again Susan and Patty, you made our stay quite enjoyable."

"Upon arrival we immediately knew we had made the right choice - the house is immaculate, everything you could want or need, the beach is so wonderful, and the whole vacation home community was so peaceful. We went to the beach everyday, even the grey days, we did family art around the big kitchen table, we sat on the deck and the wind kept the bugs at bay, the one chilly, rainy night we put the fire on and listened to music, we sat in the sun room in the morning and drank our coffee and drank in the view. We had a campfire, we read books, we flied kites, had a catch, slept in, got up early, ate great food, we never used the television once - one week was not enough. Kensington is a hop away for groceries and supplies, Cavendish is right there to fulfill any tourist needs - BUT WHY WOULD YOU GO - the beach here is 1000X's better and we would regularly comment "WHOA beach is packed today!" - with all 50 other people. I kayaked one of the calm days and saw a flower pot (similar to Fundy) to the left and so we hiked/swam around the point to get a closer look and it was a great little adventure. NEW POTATOES!!!!! Stop at the little veg stands (have cash) and definitely, definitely buy some strawberry and grand marnier jam from the PEI Preserve Company to have on your morning toast. We would go back tomorrow!!!"

"Our second visit to Whitesails was just as good as the first. The location is perfect, set on the side of the harbour so you can watch fishing boats go to and fro, see sea eagles and other sea birds catching their supper, walk to the local restaurants, fish market and well-stocked Co-op. What could be better? The weather was perfect so we spent most of our time on the front deck outside. We took a trip on a fishing boat and caught our evening meal and visited the excellent local theatre for a production of "An Ideal Husband". The English accents weren't bad!
The house is very well equipped with just about everything you could need for a perfect break. We hope to get back again one day."
