"Our family of 4 enjoyed our week at an Island Escape! Our young kids (6&3) loved the pool, open space & the great weather. Mom & Dad enjoyed the quiet and slow pace of being away from a busy everyday life while the kids could easily occupy themselves. Melanie and Dixie were fabulous and the cottage had everything we needed and more! Looking forward to a return trip!"

"My husband and I were looking for a quiet spot within minutes to the beach and attractions (golfing, restaurants etc.). This lovely cottage had everything we needed including lots of space for our border collie to run! There was an excellent information package provided and we loved the suggested 'dog friendly' beach! We actually found this location fairly central to many attractions but far enough away from all the 'touristy hubbub'. The golfing was phenomenal and there are many courses close-by to enjoy. Check out the Stanley Bridge Ceilidh featuring Leon Gallant (Tuesdays and Fridays) at the Hall. A wonderful two-week vacation!! Thank you Winfried!!"

Modern, clean, spacious, well-appointed house in perfect PEI location
"We stayed at Stanhope Dunes for two weeks in July. The house was an ideal space for a family of 6 (2 grandmothers, 2 parents, 2 children). Everyone had their own private space to read or relax and the common areas were spacious and beautifully decorated. The house is in a perfect position to enjoy sunsets over Covehead harbour and a perfect view of the Covehead lighthouse. The location can't be beat - only 20 minutes to sightseeing amenities such as Cavendish, Brackley Beach, North Rustico Harbour and also only 20 minutes to shops and stores in Charlottetown. The beach is within walking distance (even for children) and there are paved bike trails which are perfect for kids. The house had everything we needed to prepare meals in the large kitchen but was also close to great food (Richard's seafood is less than 1 km away, and Shaw's Hotel is only a 5 minute drive). Stanhope Dunes is the perfect spot for travellers who appreciate modern, well-appointed houses for their travels."

"When you have a bunch of 30-something females fighting over rooms you know that you've scored a gem.
At 146 years old, Potter's House is in pretty good shape. Polished timber floors, centralised heating, gabled wallpapered rooms, soft willowy curtains, shingled walls in bright yellow, breathtaking views and of course wifi. The house also has an equipped kitchen with a fridge, toaster, microwave, stove etc. Linens are aplenty.
Suzanne, our host, who also works at the Village Pottery next door (btw, 10% discount for renters) was so helpful and gave us excellent local tips around the island.
Its idyllic location is perfect for a day's trip per touring region (Points East, North Cape, Green Gables Shore & Red Sands Shore) and if you are an Anne Of Green Gables fan it only takes less than 10 mins by car to get to all the associated attractions. It's close to the French Village and is only 40 mins away from Charlottetown- close enough for you to catch a musical (Anne & Gilbert is a MUST SEE) and back.
By the way, if you're lucky you may see a fox or two nearby. We didn't. I guess it looks like we will had to come back......"
