  • Perfectly, perfect

"Celebrated my 60th birthday with family and good friends, eating lobster and oysters freshly caught that morning by local third and fourth generation lobstermen. It takes eating seafood to a whole other level from the vantage point on deck of the cottage. The night sky brimmed brightly with twinkling stars, constellations and distant galaxies, images so merger and hard to see in the artificially lit skies of NYC. The sweet smell of the dew and ocean air, the sound of the waves breaking, sea gulls skimming the water's top, and one morning, a lone heron stately strolling the edge of shore, and lobster boats small specs on the horizon. Beautiful! Almost Devine. We are looking forward to our next stay at the cottage."

  • Massachusetts

"My family of 4 just returned from a week stay at this beautiful home. The listing description and photos were accurate, yet in person the home exceeded our expectations! Potato fields and water views from nearly every window. Such a peaceful, beautiful setting. Enjoyed morning walks, runs or bike rides on the neighboring streets. Great time canoeing the Grand River from the backyard! Very comfortable, IMMACULATE, fantastic 2 person tub, central A/C, laundry room and fully equipped kitchen made for such a perfect stay. Home included movies, books, games and puzzles to enjoy in the evenings after touring the island. Location was convenient allowing us to explore different areas of the island such as North Cape, Cape Egmont (loved the glass houses), Cavendish, Charlottetown for a musical, Lennox Island, Belmont Park and Summerside. We ran out of time to explore the eastern side. Close enough to the bridge to allow for a day in Nova Scotia. A car is definitely needed on this island. Much large than we expected. Coastal drives are a must and PEI National Park! Just bring some bug spray for the evenings if planning on sitting outdoors. Home is also very pet friendly with vast yard to explore. Found photo album detailing the home restoration project. The painstaking labor to restore all the woodwork created quite an exquisite outcome for guests to enjoy. Owner was very helpful in answering all our questions. Only confusing item was the trash recycling. We've recycled for years but yet didn't know trash could be divided into so many parts!. PEI is ahead of the game as far as sustainability goes with their recycling and numerous turbines lining the landscape. Gorgeous island and home ..... we highly recommend this home to families or those wanting a romantic or quiet escape!"

  • Just perfect in ever way!!!

"This was our first trip to PEI and most certainly not our last as long we can stay at the Riverbank cottage again! The minute we got out of our car we felt so welcomed by Cliff. The cottage is impeccable and furnished beautifully and we felt very much at home during our 5 night stay. Thank you Barbara for making sure we had the ingredients to prepare some of our meals!! We loved having the kayaks for our daily paddling down the scenic river. Wonderful memories to take back home until next time."

  • Loved our stay here!

"We traveled with two adult daughters and found this house to be perfect for our needs. It was immaculately clean and the kitchen well-stocked so we were able to cook several meals during our stay. There is a water view from every window in the house - even a distant view of the Confederation Bridge. It is located just far enough from town to be extremely quiet and relaxing. The owner is very nice and easy to work with. Summerside has some excellent restaurants which we enjoyed as well (Try Five Eleven, Skip's Fish and Chips, and don't dare leave without a trip to the Water Street Bakery). We were not disappointed with anything about this accommodation and would not hesitate to go back!"
