  • Peaceful getaway

"My husband & I and our two west highland terriers had a great time staying here. We were looking for a nice, quiet place away from tourist crowds and this spot fit the bill perfectly. Mary and Bob were lovely hosts and the property was neat and very clean and everything was provided. Lots of books and reading material and DVDs and board games. Being right next to the Confederation trail gave us a perfect spot for dog walks and the Singing Sands beach was only 5km away. The night sky was spectacular - so many stars!!! We did a fair bit of cooking for ourselves but also drove the 20km to Souris for dinner and also St. Peter's Bay for fish and chips. We highly recommend this property and will endeavour to be back soon."

  • Perfect escape

"Amazing place, there wasn't one detail missed. Melody and Val were perfect hosts they were there with information on any questions you might have but also very considerate of your privacy. From the roof top deck, to kayaking with the seals to the beautiful sunsets. Everything was breathtaking and not one moment will be forgotten. Absolutely love the outdoor bath tub and shower.....bubble baths at dusk was a favourite! The cottage itself was stocked perfectly with all the necessities and decorated perfectly with all up to date appliances. Beautiful! Looking forward to returning in the future."

  • A Charming Home

"Maybe The Harbour House should be called the "Harbour Home". We had everything we needed to enjoy home cooked meals and relax in a peaceful and beautiful setting. The house is cozy, clean and comfortable. It's close to the beach, a general store, a library and a great little family restaurant. The deck was the perfect place to enjoy coffee in the morning while overlooking the water. After-dinner sunsets followed by stargazing were a perfect way to end the day. The cable TV and WiFi were greatly appreciated on rainy days. Having the washer and dryer on the premises allowed us to pack a little lighter. The owners were very helpful to us during the reservation process and beyond. We will definitely return!"

  • Island getaway

"We very much enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It us set back from the road and hidden by trees. Mary's gardens are lovely, and attract birds and butterflies. It is so peaceful to relax in the screened-in porch sitting room and little to the sounds of nature, including the hum of the hummingbird's wings as it flies to the flowers. We are very familiar with the island and think this part of PEI is a favourite. It is down-home and laid-back, and not as touristy and busy as, for example, the north shore of the island around Cavendish. Panmure beach is close and Poverty Beach (Murray Harbour North) and Beach Point (Murray Harbour South) are not far either. There is an seeemingly endless amount of possible beachwalking possibility and there are many small wharves in addition to the bigger ones in the area."
