  • Perfect for our family!

"What a find! My hubby and I were travelling with our five children aged 8,6,4,2, and 15 months. We were looking for a convenient home base from which to explore PEI. This beach house fit our family perfectly. It was great to come "home" to after a day on the road. Well stocked kitchen, loads of towels and an absolutely fantastic yard for the kids to play in. Swing set with slide, sandbox and tons of room to run were great bonuses for when the kids needed to blow off steam and I needed the space to cook a meal(which we did often and saved us quite a few dollars). We loved exploring the beach and the fence at the top of the stairs leading down to the beach made it safe for the kids. They loved checking to see if it was high or low tide. The view of Confederation Bridge from the beach is great. Mary was fantastic with accommodating our littlest one. High hair, pack n play, fans for white noise, baby gates for blocking off the stairs.....all provided and set up for our arrival. Mary knew we would be arriving after dark and had the house lit up like a Christmas tree for us which was greatly appreciated! The cottage and yard are meticulously maintained, but still comfortable enough that I wasn't worried the kids were going to wreck anything. We explored PEI from tip to tip. New Glasgow Lobster Supper, the butterfly house at PEI Preserve Co., Charlottetown Farmers Market, Cows Creamery Factory Tour, East Point Lighthouse, Basin Head Beach, deep sea fishing with Paradise on the Sea Adventures, purchasing moonshine at Myriad Distillery, North Cape, Bottle Houses, Spinnakers Landing, and a dairy farm tour were all highlights of our trip. Mix that up with some rest and relaxation at the cottage and you have one fabulous vacation. We are dairy farmers from Ontario my hubby doesn't really like to travel or leave the cows, but even he enjoyed this vacation largely due to being able to come home every night to this cottage. If you have been eyeing this place for awhile and have it marked as a favourite, just book it! You will not be disappointed by either the beach house or PEI! We have been recommending this property to anyone thinking of visiting. Cheers!"

  • Great home in a great location

"We had a great 3 generation family vacation. The house is right on the tidal beach. We gathered our own clams, mussels and oysters - can't get any fresher than that. The house was very well equiped; comfortably rooms, full kitchen and laudry facilities. We used the barbeque, bicycles and kites. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!"

  • oh, what place to spend a holiday!

"the first thing that draws you in are the pictures here on this website, which by the way, do not do the place justice. the owners are lovely, helpful people. there were 4 people in our party and when we walked in we could see it would not feel confining. small looking on the outside, but once you walk in it felt very spacious. the interior decor was perfect. and what can be said about the awesomely large deck with the hammock. stress free holidaying at its best. we rented for 2 weeks and it went by so fast. the cottage was private but you did not feel alone. then there is the view to describe, which by the way is almost to hard. walking along the shoreline, the sunrise and sunset, the lane to the highway for strolling...there are no words that can convey just how beautiful that whole area is. the drive to summmerside was quick and easy. the first day we went in for supplies and on the return we got a little lost in the dark, but a lovely lady who worked in a corner store not far from the cottage got us straightened out. after that we had absolutely no problems. a very nicely central place to get from one side of the island to the other. i would totally and happily re-rent the cottage again."

  • Our family getaway

"We came to PEI to celebrate a significant anniversary and thought how perfect it would be to have our family with us - and finding the right place was the highest priority on our list! From the moment we walked through the doors and could see the ocean to discovering the star filled sky's at night we knew this was exactly what we needed! Our daughters and their families were with us as well as my mom, and we had ample room for everyone. Lots of space to hang out with the group or just escape to have a nap. Having the area around us allowed the kids to play freely with their only boundary the stairs leading down to the ocean. The weather man did not want to cooperate this summer however nothing deterred us from doing - we hunted for shells, had a Bon fire on the rocks ( collected drift wood and there is a full supply of freshly cut wood) to cooking all the fresh seafood we could eat. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need, candles for the chandeliers, rubber boots for the rainy days and amazing sunrises!!! The cottage reminded us of Muskoka which is a place that is very dear to our hearts and was both quaint and spacious. Definitely would come back!!!!!"
