  • Perfect for our family!

"What a find! My hubby and I were travelling with our five children aged 8,6,4,2, and 15 months. We were looking for a convenient home base from which to explore PEI. This beach house fit our family perfectly. It was great to come "home" to after a day on the road. Well stocked kitchen, loads of towels and an absolutely fantastic yard for the kids to play in. Swing set with slide, sandbox and tons of room to run were great bonuses for when the kids needed to blow off steam and I needed the space to cook a meal(which we did often and saved us quite a few dollars). We loved exploring the beach and the fence at the top of the stairs leading down to the beach made it safe for the kids. They loved checking to see if it was high or low tide. The view of Confederation Bridge from the beach is great. Mary was fantastic with accommodating our littlest one. High hair, pack n play, fans for white noise, baby gates for blocking off the stairs.....all provided and set up for our arrival. Mary knew we would be arriving after dark and had the house lit up like a Christmas tree for us which was greatly appreciated! The cottage and yard are meticulously maintained, but still comfortable enough that I wasn't worried the kids were going to wreck anything. We explored PEI from tip to tip. New Glasgow Lobster Supper, the butterfly house at PEI Preserve Co., Charlottetown Farmers Market, Cows Creamery Factory Tour, East Point Lighthouse, Basin Head Beach, deep sea fishing with Paradise on the Sea Adventures, purchasing moonshine at Myriad Distillery, North Cape, Bottle Houses, Spinnakers Landing, and a dairy farm tour were all highlights of our trip. Mix that up with some rest and relaxation at the cottage and you have one fabulous vacation. We are dairy farmers from Ontario my hubby doesn't really like to travel or leave the cows, but even he enjoyed this vacation largely due to being able to come home every night to this cottage. If you have been eyeing this place for awhile and have it marked as a favourite, just book it! You will not be disappointed by either the beach house or PEI! We have been recommending this property to anyone thinking of visiting. Cheers!"

  • Relaxing and peaceful vacation spot.

"What a wonderful location, so close to the beach, stairs were easy to manage. Lots to do in PEI and everything is near by, short drives to anywhere on the Island. The house the spotless and cozy. We had everything we needed right there. Loved the longs walks on the beach and beautiful sunsets from our porch. Thanks for so much relaxation!"

  • Beyond Expectations!!!

"Not knowing what to expect we packed everything necessary to ensure our week would be without wanting. What an absolutely wonderful experience when we arrived and found everything necessary AND MORE waiting for us. From refreshments to treats, utter cleanliness, a fully equipped kitchen, an excellent BBQ with added accessories for cooking shellfish, fabulous deck and deck furniture, bedrooms perfectly laid out and spotless bathroom (with wonderful soaps that the girls loved). From the grounds being fully manicured to the postcard views along the Stanley River we found ourselves immersed in a week that was very much beyond our expectations. Thank you Bernadette, Andrew and Mary and we look forward to being with you again next year."

  • Wonderful hosts, suite, location!

"Susan and Patty couldn't have been nicer. Our plane out of NYC had been repeatedly delayed, so we didn't get in until ~11. Our hosts came to the airport twice to guide us back to their place - really, exceptional hospitality. We had a delicious bottle of white wine, some half and half, sodas and other goodies waiting for us, plus supplies of coffee, tea, sugar etc. The suite is much bigger than the pictures show, with windows on three sides, a glimpse of the ocean and harbor on one side and a pristine view of a field, farm land and trees on another. Everything fresh and clean - great bathroom too. We slept so incredibly well on the VERY comfortable bed with its soft cotton linens. We cooked the best fish we ever had - picked the halibut up in the village and charcoal cooked it on a small grill Susan and Patty provide in the yard. There is a lovely walk on red dirt paths to the beautiful national park ocean beach. The water was warm. North Rustico is charming. The studio is very quiet and peaceful, a great place to come back to after a day out. Thank you so much, Susan and Patty!"
