  • Wonderful Home with Amazing Views!!!

"My husband and I stayed at your incredible Beach House; It is just as pictured. The surrounding landscape and water views are stunning!!! Beautiful pink skies at sunset. The house is equipped with everything that you need. The washer and dryer is a nice bonus. We loved the Knotty Pine. This setting is truly peaceful and quiet. My husband and I slept like babies. We loved the loft upstairs where we enjoyed reading, napping and listening to the wind and looking out at the awesome view of the surrounding bay. We saw different kinds of birds and rabbits and even a fox! Such beautiful scenery all around PEI! Lot's to do; kayaking, snorkeling, beautiful beaches, biking, water parks, music and great food! Shelly & Joe are very personable and professional people. Renting was a very smooth transaction. I really did a lot of searching on line and you won't find a better place to stay than Ocean Edge Beach House on PEI. You will absolutely love it!!!"

  • Truly an Island Gem!

"Our party of six recently returned to Northern Ontario after a one week stay at Fairfield House and we are already talking about returning again with a larger group! To say that our stay in this beautiful oceanfront century home was magical would be an understatement. In fact, I would easily attribute such glowing accolades at the risk of sounding over romantic, but with good reason. This home is spacious, bright, functional, beautifully appointed, private, updated, clean and happily situated on the scenic Augustine Cove. Although a historic house, it has new bathrooms and a very well stocked kitchen. There is also a spacious room with new laundry facilities and a walk-in ironing room. There are two living rooms with very comfortable sofas and chairs and a large sunroom that stretches across the front of the home facing the ocean. The outside deck is also large and well appointed with good quality adirondack chairs. There are added touches to the home such as two pairs of binoculars, tons of beach towels, books, tourist guides, magazines, jigsaw puzzles, games and a plethora of "Anne of Green Gables" material including a full set of the books. The bedrooms have amble closet space and the mattresses and linens are top quality. Although the home is furnished in a nice mix of antiques and modern furniture, you never get the feeling that the items are "hands off" and we felt right at home as soon as we walked in the door. The home is centrally located and easy to find. The drive to either Charlottetown or Summerside was easy and all the other attractions that PEI has to offer. As we are from Northern Ontario, driving any distance for dinner, groceries etc... is the norm, so we planned for supply pick-up in conjunction with our outings and did not find the private cove in any way isolated. Secluded and private yes, but not isolated with Charlottetown and Summerside less than one hour away. All our inquiries were handled in a very timely manner by Alan and Sue Manning and questions while we were at the house usually answered within the hour. The welcome package that was mailed prior to the visit was also very helpful in planning our trip to PEI and the gift of PEI jams and tea upon our arrival was a very nice touch. Do not hesitate to rent this historic home if you have a group from 6-10 as the ocean view, spaciousness, surroundings and appointments of this house cannot be overstated. Five star all the way"

  • First time in PEI and not the last ❤❤❤

"First of all, thank you soooo much to Heather ❤ and her hubby, this house has all what you need for a family of 4,all you see on the pictures and description from the listing are exactly the same, this house is just so well maintained and will recommend it to all my family and friends . You are central to mostly everything, during the day, driving to the beach or just sightseeing taking in all the beautiful scenery and at night a beautiful walk to the celebration zone for free concerts and fun for kids and parents, and can't miss out on a walk to COWS Ice cream 😍😍😍. This house is just IMPECABLE ,clean and functional, you just need to bring yourselves and enjoy the PEI atmosphere and people, and scenery. Once again, thank you Heather for the warm and loving hospitality and inputs on where to go and see and eat. Can't wait to see you again on our next visit in PEI."

  • Relaxing and peaceful vacation spot.

"What a wonderful location, so close to the beach, stairs were easy to manage. Lots to do in PEI and everything is near by, short drives to anywhere on the Island. The house the spotless and cozy. We had everything we needed right there. Loved the longs walks on the beach and beautiful sunsets from our porch. Thanks for so much relaxation!"
