  • Wonderful week in Montreal

"My husband and I travelled to Montreal for a much-needed respite from our hectic lives. We saw the apartment and the welcome shrimp/sushi tray on VRBO and decided to give this place a try. The week was fabulous - beginning each day with a delicious breakfast left in the fridge by Michael was a daily treat and ending each day with a glass of wine or beer left by him was delightful. Michael drew all over the map things to see and do and we tried to take in everything. We became pros at riding the Metro (we found Papineau station to be most convenient) and aimed for one 'special' activity each day - like climbing Mont Roayale, going to the museum, walking to Atwater Market, etc. some may think that a week would be too long to stay in Montreal, but we found it perfect. Felt we really got to know the city. With the sumptuous breakfasts, we could usually hold out and skipped lunch, aiming for a nice dinner instead. Michael kept everything well stocked, clean, and even lent my husband his phone charger when we realized we forgot it. Highly recommended!"

  • Charming vacation property

"We just spent a week in this charming vacation home with our family ranging in age from 14 months to 82 years. The house is exceptionally well equipped, especially in the kitchen, and we didn't lack for anything. There were even binoculars to view the wonderful panorama from the large picture window in the living room. We had the benefit of country living on a hilltop within minutes from Montebello. We cooked all but one of our meals and enjoyed eating together around the large dining table. We barbecued twice and spent an evening eating, talking and playing guitar in the screened porch beside the BBQ. There were lots of DVDs to choose from and games to play in the cupboards. The twenty-somethings spent several evenings in the hot tub -- the owners change the water with each new rental. The staircase from the road to the house is fairly steep but the 82-year-old was able to manage just fine, but this could be a consideration for someone with mobility issues (check with the friendly owners!). Park Omega is a couple of minutes up the road and well worth the expense of entry. Fun for all ages. We picked up delectable croissants at La Fromagerie in Montebello for breakfast, as well as fresh curds. We sampled the house beer at the microbrewery in town (Les Brasseurs de Montbello), and tried the poutine as takeout from the restaurant a couple of doors down the road (Delice Champetre). We had fun choosing a souvenir poster in Galerie Montebello with some help from the amiable owner. Some of us enjoyed the renowned Sunday brunch at Chateau Montebello. Our whole family spent a memorable week together and thoroughly enjoyed Far Horizons."

  • Excellent loft for big groups

"The loft is exactly like the photos. Very clean and very well equipped. This loft is perfect for large groups. Having a pool table there and a bar table is perfect for entertaining. Everything you need is within a 10 min walk...metro, restaurants, shops, etc. I would definitely book this place again!"

  • Fantastic Condo

"My wife and I spent 10 wonderful days in Quebec and our stay at this loft contributed to our great holiday. Beautifully decorated. It is close to anywhere you wish to walk to in Old Quebec. We enjoyed walking to the market, picking up fresh ingredients for our suppers and cooking them in the great kitchen. We went out for dinner just twice as we enjoyed the ambiance of the loft so much! The rooftop terrace provides a great view of the city and we enjoyed many glasses of wine just sitting and relaxing. This is our fourth trip to Quebec and we plan on returning in the near future. This property, as advertised, was clean, well maintained, and perfectly situated in Old Quebec. It so spoiled us that we doubt we will ever stay in a hotel on future visits to Quebec. We would highly recommend this loft to friends and family."
