"The apartment is so welcoming and warm. We enjoyed our stay and if ever in Montreal we would stay again. Jean-Pierre was so helpful with guiding us in how to take the metro and places to see. We appreciated having a kitchen and washer and dryer. The garden patio is so pretty and we loved eating there on Sat. night. We had no problem getting a taxi there when we arrived and also when we left. We would recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to spend a few days in a very special place in Montreal."

"We have travelled extensively and rented many apartments and homes. The Chinic condo was, by far, the loveliest we have encountered. It was spotless, huge, elegant, most comfortable and the kitchen fully equipped. The view of the St. Lawrence was outstanding and got even better once the cruise ship left. I must add, however, that you also are overlooking a large parking lot. The rooftop deck was wonderful with a view of Chateau Frontenac. My only suggestion: purchase plusher bath towels. Ed Sweeny was a delight to deal with, and his suggestions for
restaurants were spot on. And the cafe downstairs was a real plus. We cannot more highly recommend this condo and the agency from which it was rented."

"We had a pleasant stay in this condo in mid October. The condo's best features are LOCATION (heart of Old Quebec near Rue Ste.-Jean), SPACE (eat-in-kitchen, two bedrooms plus living room with sleeper sofa), and LAUNDRY facilities. Also, we must mention the friendly OWNERS as a plus. The condo was never too hot nor too cold during our stay. Public parking is a short walk away. The hot tub functioned while we were there and we used it, but it was more on the very warm side rather than hot (96 degrees.) The kitchen has all the dishes, utensils, and tools that you will need during your stay.
The negatives of the condo are the uneven floors and stairs. Yes, they are to be expected in an old building, but the stairs are very slanted to one side and the floor between the living room and kitchen has a step of about 1 1/2 to 2 inches so take your balance and mobility into consideration when deciding whether to rent the condo. We ourselves tripped on the step several times and my son fell part way down the stairs but was OK. Parking was listed as an amenity so I had thought it was included. It turns out that public parking is a short distance away, but no parking was included with the rental. It ended up being difficult to find someone to help us buy a parking pass so we had the additional expense of daily parking. There is a also a lot of dust from the mortar between the stone walls. I know that the apartment was dusted before we arrived, but by the time we left 3 days later there was significant dust. Another negative is that the massive bookcase on the left of the fireplace is secured by a single screw that is coming out. Because the bookcase is so heavy and tall but not deep, I was constantly worried that my youngest would try to climb it and it would fall on him. I mentioned the issue to one of the owners and she said that they might secure the bookcase. Another much more minor issue (for us) was the presence of many almonds on the floor in the living room which told me that that room had not been given a proper cleaning before our arrival. We are not allergic so it wasn't a big concern, but when you pay an $80 cleaning fee, I think it's reasonable to expect that the last renters also paid the fee and so the apt should be free of snacks on the floor. I mentioned the nuts to the owner after our departure.
The cupboards had salt, pepper, tea and sugar. Bring your own shampoo."
