"OK, maybe not if you're the night clubber... but downtown is only 20 minutes away for you. For everyone else, the large condo is terrific - from the well appointed and provisioned kitchen (how many places have you stayed where you had to go buy a box of salt, a bag of sugar, etc. for a three day stay - not here - spices, sugar, condiments were all there!), great dining room (could have invited my extended family for supper - easily), comfy beds and a couch that just begged to be napped on. The market across the street provided any other supplies including cheeses, bakery items, cold cuts, sausages, spices and for you beer lovers - more craft beers than at the beer stores in my home town (ok, maybe not, but a lot!). For those who don't like to cook every meal, walking down Boulevard Saint Joseph (the main street just south of the condo) offered a wide range of restaurants to go with the nice views of the canal. For you fisherfolk out there, a non-resident fishing license will let you try your luck at getting walleye (doré in Quebec, pickerel other places), bass, etc. in the waterways a short cast away from the house. Bike rentals, kayak / canoe rentals all let you get out and enjoy the outdoors along the canal, in fact, the bike paths take you all the way to Old Montreal (and beyond) along an arm of the St. Lawrence River...
So did we enjoy our stay - you bet, I think you will too.
P.S. And thanks to Antoine for his quick responses to questions, and getting us into the condo ;-)"
