  • Thanksgiving in the County

"Just got back from a fantastic couple of nights stay at the Four Poplars with my wife and parents. This beautiful suite is the perfect base to experience the PEC area. Our host Renee was so warm and inviting, and provided some amazing recommendations of places to go eat and find local produce. We definitely all came away dreaming of a return visit."

  • Beautiful, quiet setting

"My husband, son, and I stayed here for four nights in the fall. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rental unit is on the bottom floor of the owner's home, and it has a private entrance. We met the owner when we arrived; she showed us the property, and then we had complete privacy for our stay. There is a designated parking spot for visitors near the entrance to the property. The property is located next to a vineyard, and we were able to walk through a gate to a path that ran along the rows of vines. Because we visited in early November, we were able to see the fall colors in the vineyard and in the town. The location was peaceful and quiet, and the view from the rental was gorgeous. There is a pool, but, as expected, it was covered for the winter. We could have used the hot tub, and there is outdoor seating near the pool with a panoramic view of the lake. The rental is completely furnished with everything necessary for either a long-term or short-term stay. It is spacious and comfortable. There is a fully-stocked kitchen with a full-sized fridge, oven, and dishwasher. Though we didn't use them, the washer and dryer are available. There are two bedrooms, with comfortable beds. There are groceries nearby, and the vineyard next door has a tasting room and wine shop (and fantastic Gewurztraminer!). We felt that we had the best of both worlds: a quick drive to the downtown area with the peace and quiet of the hillsides on the other side of the lake. We would love to visit Kelowna again, and we would definitely stay here."

  • Extremely quiet comfortable retreat - walkable to all amenities.

"All necessities plus many extras have been thought of and added to make a stay very! comfortable. Super clean with the bonus of a washer / dryer. Comox has beautiful scenery, a great many tasty eateries, tennis courts and a very good grocery store all within pleasant walking distance. Check out scenery @ Goose Spit & Holmes Point (just 2 of many! places if you have a car), eats @ Benino Gelato and Rocky Mountain Cafe (downtown) and Atlas Cafe in Courtney. What a paradise with a lovely hostess. Thanks ever so much!"

  • Comfortable with all conveniences

"We were six adults and 2 young children staying in this lovely home for the week. Our extended family has long made Pelee Island a favored spot, but this was our first trip to Pelee. The kitchen was fully equipped and a joy to prep meals for a crowd in - love the kitchen island, it was definitely a gathering spot. The home was clean and very comfortable. The front porch, which I couldn't tell from the photos is such a treat - equipped with a table and four chairs as well as two cushioned chairs with footstools - I immediately made one of those chairs my afternoon reading spot. This appears to be the owner's home with personal belongings left in drawers, closets and cabinets. I've often rented from VRBO and Home Away and this is the first time I came across this. It was a little strange at first, but the home's spacious, lovely and really a great value for the rental cost. Very close to Vin Villa where we were able to get one of the first tours of the newly reopened ruins. Approx 3/4 mile walk to Conorlee's Bakery & Pizzeria - not to be missed. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable rental spot."
