"The view from the deck of the cottage is beautiful. We often sat on the deck and watched the boats, currents and observed the tides. We used this a guide before we went kayaking. The kayaking around this area is amazing. Steve and Lorraine provided us with excellent information about "canoe pass" which led into a larger bay and public marina. You can launch a lighter kayak from the rocky beach that is accessed through a public stairway across the street from the cottage. The cottage itself is well appointed and came with all of the essentials to make our stay comfortable. The living room was very comfortable and we enjoyed the full kitchen and laundry facilities. We highly recommend this property for families or couples that are looking for a quiet get away. The dead end street makes it very attractive as the only people who are frequenting this area are owners themselves. We often walked the area and even ventured as far as the IGA for groceries and lunch at Budabing burgers. All and all, it was a great week away! Thanks for sharing your cottage with us Lorraine and Steve."

"A great vacation rental for anyone wanting to explore the Columbia Valley. And only a quick walk to the beach, as well as right beside the Marina if you wanted to rent a boat, canoe, or kayak. The condo was very spacious, quiet, clean, and well-equipped. The deck view of the wetlands, lake, and mountains was awesome. Great vacation! We would definitely go back!"

"I know that sometimes pictures can be deceiving so I had a feeling that this place couldn't be as good as it looked...and I was right. IT WAS WAY BETTER! The charm and ambience of the cottage was just beyond comparison. It was like being in an English countryside cottage with bridges and multiple seating areas, water features and lovely gardens. And at night, all the lights came on and it was like being in a fairyland!
And Petra (owner) also rescues animals. I got to spend time feeding and grooming her 4 donkeys, 1 mule, 2 goats, 2 piggies and 2 dogs. What fun for me.
And speaking of Petra...we do a LOT of weekend traveling thru VRBO and have yet to find anyone that makes you feel so much at home and part of the family. She lays out every detail of anyplace you may want to see on your visit; recommends places to eat and go see; provides directions and tips and tricks. We were lacking for nothing.
The inside of the cottage was very modern and up to date with a lovely bathroom and cedar steam room. No commercial television but a wall of DVD's to choose from. And a spacious covered porch allows to you to still remain outside even in the rain, so the TV was not missed by us.
We typically don't go back to the same place twice as there's so many new places to experience. This will be the exception. We plan to return again...and again. Thanks Petra!"

"We booked 14 days at the cottage and the view and property did not disappoint. The home was equipped with everything you could possibly need, was well stocked and very clean. Our first week presented challenges out of the owners control but they were very professional in dealing with us and kept communication open. Once resolved they were extremly helpful in ensuring our second week was bliss. The resort itself is amazing with a small store and lovely restaurant, amenities are clean and well maintained. There is tons to keep young and old busy and the lake area itself is astounding. The roads in are twisty but honestly after the first drive in they presented no issue at all, we were in and out of Kelowna several times and it just became another road. You could easily spend your entire vacation on resort or venture out to the nearby trails or take in Vernon and Kelowna. The resort is large and though you could walk, it would be difficult on little ones. We used our car to drive up to the pool or down to the lake as we had floaties and kids in tow. Next year we will rent one of the golf carts on site as that seems to be the way to go. The entire family simply did not want to leave and we can't wait to return."
