  • Great Anguilla Experince

"Just returned from Anguilla and the Clubhouse. I have been going to Anguilla since the 1980’s when I lived and worked in nearby St Maarten and can say the Clubhouse is a great value and lovely accommodation, particularly for Anguilla, as many comparable properties are priced well out of range. Others have already outlined many of the benefits of the property…I will simply say that these are accurate descriptions of the accommodation and experience, and I would recommend this property to everyone looking for great vacation experience on Anguilla. However, I would like to make a few comments about the negative review above. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but I don’t think this should go unchallenged. I’ll cover the points below: NO gas…I’ve been to this property more than once…always plenty of gas Smell of gas was overwhelming…that has never been the case The owner does not provide a fully stocked kitchen…untrue No kettle…untrue There's no toaster…untrue No coffee-maker…untrue We were forced to continually find places to eat that served hot beverages and food…Funny, must have been a very difficult search. Anguilla is overflowing with fine places to eat. Large aggressive maintenance man - renters should be put in such an uncomfortable threatening situation…that would be Trenton, and this comment is utter foolishness. Trenton could never be characterized in this way, and is 100% courteous and helpful 100% of the time. This comment feels somewhat racist to me. Further, the DVD didn't work properly….untrue And even though there are 2 bathrooms, both showers are pointless as only a trickle of water comes out…moderate stream, I’d say this comment is untrue With only intermittent moments of warm water…untrue Also the safe did not work…untrue The walk to the beach takes around 3 minutes through a scruffy gravel and rock area strewn with leaves and debris, and then you need to be fit enough to jump down on to the sand…access to the beach is down the left side of the big villa (Bellamare) and through a gate, down a set of stairs leading directly to the beach. Virtually every part of this comment is untrue. This property is in a bad location, not worth the price…untrue, Shoal Bay Village is one of the nicer island destinations and the accommodations provide more, not less, for the money. Go to Anguilla, stay in the Clubhouse and enjoy your visit. Anguilla is one of the best destinations in the Caribbean and the perfect place to relax."

  • Why go to a resort if you can book this apartment?

"We stayed in this apartment between the 23 Dec until the 30 Dec/2014. It is a beautiful property located in an area full of restaurants and bars. We hired a car an went to all the beaches we could and returned to a home away from home every day. The owner has a boutique downstairs with nice stuff and the girls at the shop are always very helpful to deal with any enquiry you may have. Thomas the manager is absolutely charming and delightful to deal with. Altogether, the property is in top condition and it is so nicely put together, decorated and spacious. We had everything we needed to cook our meals which we did after being at the beaches almost all day. We were never bothered by anyone and felt very safe. We travelled with two children ages 9 and 7 and since one of them requires special attention with his diet it was very handy to be able to cook his food as needed. You find american supermarkets in Anguila called Best Buy. You have two on each side of the island (East and West) and we found fresh produce (vegetables ,chicken, meat )every time we needed and had a wonderful appointed kitchen to cook our meals at. Please consider to rent a car to be able to move around the island and get the most out of it. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone."

  • Heaven on Earth

"Fletch's Cove surpassed our expectations. Beautifully furnished, stocked with everything you could possibly need (including snorkeling gear) and immaculately maintained and clean, Fletch's Cove was an ideal setting for a peaceful, private vacation. There is even a cabana with daybed and full bathroom. The view from the pool deck and bedroom patio is spectacular. The landscaping was very nice, too. The only thing missing was the ubiquitous Anguillan goat! You definitely need a car to get to the various beaches and restaurants, which are amazing. The owner and staff are quite accommodating, providing all the information and assistance you could possibly need."

  • Amazing and wonderful!

"Wow! What a week in paradise. Everything was perfect, starting with our travel logistics before our departure by the villa owner, Kevin and Janice, right through to our departure! This week couldn't have been more perfect. The villa, with breathtaking ocean views combined with all the amenities that you would expect from a luxury home, was fabulous. With Gwen, the house manager, guiding us, no detail was left unattended. We had the time of our life at the villa and exploring the island. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home and island!"

Anguilla Travel Tips

Activities and Attractions at Anguilla Vacation Rentals

Anguilla is a tropical paradise located in the Caribbean. It is an island known for its beautiful beaches and calm turquoise waters. It’s a place where you can relax, and be as active or lazy as you choose. Many people visit simply to be able to enjoy the beautiful white beach sands, warm tropical sun and delicious rum cocktails. But if you’d like to be a little more active than that, there are plenty of great activities. The calm turquoise waters are ideal for swimming and snorkeling. You can visit the reefs and watch the many colorful tropical reef fish dart between the corals. For certified divers, you can explore the underwater wonders by signing up with one of the dive charters.

The national sport of Anguilla is sailing and when the weather is good, you’ll see all types and sizes of sailing craft out on the water. The winds provide ideal sailing conditions and regattas are often held throughout the year. Sea kayaking is a great way to explore the coastline. Protected by the barrier reefs, most of the coastline is relatively calm. If you enjoy deep sea fishing, you can go out beyond the reefs for a day of fishing. The experienced skippers will be able to take you to where the fish are biting.

No visit to Anguilla is complete without taking a boat cruise. You can choose from a slow and steady glass-bottomed boat to a luxurious high-speed cruiser. There are also several yachts available for day charters and cruises on the island. On land, you can enjoy a round of golf or many leisurely hours of walking. You could even explore the interior on horseback. Then there are also the vibrant restaurants, beach bars, shops and markets to keep you entertained.

Visitors to Anguilla Villas

Anguilla attracts visitors who love the sunshine and warm tropical weather. Many people visit the island from December to April to escape from the colder northern climates. It’s a little slice of tropical paradise that is an ideal sun vacation destination. Because of its natural beauty, it is a popular destination for honeymoons and weddings. There’s nothing quite as romantic as strolling along a beautiful beach at sunset and feeling the gentle ocean breeze in your hair. Yachtsmen can enjoy sailing in the bays with the consistently good winds. Scuba divers can enjoy the underwater reefs and magnificent marine life. Anyone who enjoys beach, sun and water sports will enjoy a stay on Anguilla.

Getting to Anguilla Resort Rentals

Most flights to Anguilla from the United States route via Puerto Rico. From there, there are several flights weekly that connect on to Anguilla. An alternative that is often cheaper and more convenient is to fly directly to the neighboring island of St. Maarten. From there, you can get a quick island hop across to Anguilla. From St. Maartten, it is a quick 20-minute ferry trip to get across to Anguilla. If traveling from Europe, there are several airlines that have direct flights into St. Maarten. You can, of course, also route via Puerto Rico if you choose.

Best Seasons to Travel to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in Anguilla

Anguilla enjoys a warm year-round tropical climate. While the sun may shine all year, the seasons are dictated mostly by the rainfall rather than by how hot it is. The most popular time of year to visit is during the cooler months which are from December to April. You’ll want to be cautious about traveling in May as there are frequently storms that blow through. The summer months of June to September are very hot and humid, and heavy rains generally occur in October.
