"We stayed at Moonrise Villa for a week and were thrilled by our experience. The pictures on the website do not do justice to the villa itself or the spectacular view. As much as we enjoyed the stunning beaches of Anguilla, it was difficult to tear ourselves away from the villa, the sparkling pool and the beautiful view. We spent several afternoons enjoying the exquisite little private beach directly across the bay where we had the beach all to ourselves! We're not really cooks so we didn't use the kitchen too much although it seems very well appointed. The restaurants on the island are very good and we tried several and enjoyed them all. (There are no restaurants within walking distance to the villa so you would need a car if you choose to stay there.) We also loved our outdoor bathroom with its pretty garden- very romantic! The house was pleasantly cool, with beautiful wooden louvers that allow the ample breeze to flow through the whole property. Even in June we didn't need air conditioning although it's available in all the bedrooms. There are two housekeepers who came in every day and were very sweet and helpful as was the rest of the staff. We felt very well taken care of, from the beautiful bed linens and towels ( the large bath-sheet size which we really loved) to the local cell phone that was there for our use while we were there. We can't wait to return to Moonrise next year."Guest: Abby Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: August 13, 2014View listing
"This was our first villa rental experience and our first time to Anguilla. It will not be our last. I was nervous to rent a vacation home based on internet pictures and reviews but Seabird exceeded our expectations. The villa was spacious and immaculate. Seabird had everything we needed to relax and enjoy. We opted to have some items pre-stocked for us which made settling in easier. The property was picturesque and secluded. The pool was perfect and provided hours of entertainment for our two children (8 & 10.) The salt pond had ZERO odor and was serene. The lovely Delphine and the rest of the staff took amazing care of us went above and beyond to make sure we were enjoying every moment of this lovely home and island. Rendezvous Bay is a short walk from Seabird and was our favorite beach (although they are all gorgeous.) Some of our favorite lunch spots were Sunshine Shack (Rendezvous), Hank's (Shoal Bay) & Smokey's at The Cove. Some of our favorite dinners were Veya, Trattoria Tramonto and of course, Dune Preserve. We also enjoyed the delicious ice cream at Tropical Treats Fun House. Anguilla was easy to get around and is gorgeous and relaxing. The people were friendly and welcoming. We've been to many islands and Anguilla is our new favorite. I would highly recommend Anguilla and of course, Seabird Villa. We can't wait to return."Guest: Stacey S. "We have been vacationing at Villa Serenata for the past five years and have only positive things to say! The house is well equipped and wonderful location for privacy, yet only a short drive to beach and restaurants. The best french bakery on the island is just a short walk down the hill. We just love relaxing on the outside veranda. The owners have become family to us....very gracious and caring! Thank you Madeline and Rocco for allowing us to stay at Villa Serenata. . . .a home away from home!"Guest: D&D Date of Stay: February 2014 Review Submitted: April 11, 2014View listing
"This was my family's first trip to Anguilla. I was excited but a bit nervous about selecting a property so far away and the process of wiring payment to this little island of Anguilla. Chelle and I talked several times by phone and she helped us with details around the rental car and ferry arrangements. Upon arrival at the property, 2 housekeepers greeted us and gave us a tour of the home. It is stunningly clean with high ceilings and is well appointed! We used the 3 bedrooms in the main house only. The home is spacious with large shutter doors to the patio and pool area. These doors are in each room which faces the water. We kept the doors open from sunrise until it was time to lock up for the night. The covered outdoor area, the pool, and the beach are where we spent almost our entire time while on the property. My 3 daughters and wife took turns on the bamboo swinging bed. So quiet and peaceful... just what they needed and it was always in use with them. There was a slight breeze on this side of the island the entire week which kept any bugs at a minimum. The hot tub took awhile to warm up when we used it each night. It was a great place to relax and talk after the sun had set. And, the views of St Maartin are spectacular at night. There are small shells and fish in the water right off the beach. The small beach in front of the property can only be accessed by 2 or 3 houses. We were there in "high" season and never saw another person ... it was our private paradise. Wade out to the rocky island to look for larger shells that have washed up but wear water shoes as there are some sea urchins. The housekeepers were there each day except Sunday. They were non intrusive and very helpful. They did dishes, made beds, kept everything clean and even washed and hung up some clothes. There were so many nice touches which I've never had at another property. In addition to the services of the housekeepers for the week, there was a cell phone for our use on the island and a Vonage phone for calls back to the US. The local island population is very friendly. We were greeted with hugs at the church we attended. People were genuinely friendly throughout the island. We've stayed in properties in Sanibel, Naples, Captiva, St John VI, and Playa del Carmen. This was my family's favorite home and vacation. Thank you Chelle for renting such a lovely home!"Guest: Tim M. Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: April 4, 2014View listing

Anguilla is a tropical paradise located in the Caribbean. It is an island known for its beautiful beaches and calm turquoise waters. It’s a place where you can relax, and be as active or lazy as you choose. Many people visit simply to be able to enjoy the beautiful white beach sands, warm tropical sun and delicious rum cocktails. But if you’d like to be a little more active than that, there are plenty of great activities. The calm turquoise waters are ideal for swimming and snorkeling. You can visit the reefs and watch the many colorful tropical reef fish dart between the corals. The national sport of Anguilla is sailing and when the weather is good, you’ll see all types and sizes of sailing craft out on the water. The winds provide ideal sailing conditions and regattas are often held throughout the year. Sea kayaking is a great way to explore the coastline. Protected by the barrier reefs, most of the coastline is relatively calm. If you enjoy deep sea fishing, you can go out beyond the reefs for a day of fishing. The experienced skippers will be able to take you to where the fish are biting.
No visit to Anguilla is complete without taking a boat cruise. You can choose from a slow and steady glass-bottomed boat to a luxurious high-speed cruiser. There are also several yachts available for day charters and cruises on the island. On land, you can enjoy a round of golf or many leisurely hours of walking. You could even explore the interior on horseback. Then there are also the vibrant restaurants, beach bars, shops and markets to keep you entertained.
