"This was our first experience in the Bahamas. As a large group of people mixed with single couples, and small families, we were concerned about choosing an all-inclusive which is why we searched for a rental property. We were excited to find a property that offered the amenities that Stargaze did. This place met the variety of needs of our entire group. The bedrooms were spacious and the layout was very conducive to the mixed group. The eating area accommodated the group well enough, and the kitchen was fully stocked with all we needed and large enough to have 'many cooks' do their work. The bathrooms were clean and functional. However, the water pressure was weak even when only running one of the showers at a time. There were many common areas to relax, both inside and outside of the villa. The family room was cozy and provided enough room for our entire party to plan our day's events. Overall, the place was very clean and cozy, and we would definitely return! The air conditioning system worked fabulously, and the fans helped to circulate the air. We wish the laundry worked a little better (could never get through a full load of laundry). We were told that the machines were too full, but even with a VERY small load, the machines weren't cooperating. This was only a problem, because we wanted to wash towels after a day by the pool. However, there were more than enough towels provided to not make this an issue. The property managers Patrice and Angie were amazing! There were always available and answered any of our questions or concerns quickly. There was a huge rainstorm the first night we were there and a newly upgraded tile floor on the rooftop patio was leaking. A repairman was there that night, and returned the next morning to fix the issue. It never bothered us to begin with, but this showed the care the property was under. We never had any issues with this again. The pool was clean and functional, and there were nice chairs provided (8). The location was close to a very good conch stand, and a bus stop to get into town. It was a short walk from the property to both. There is careful attention to safety which was a little scary - almost overdone - but at least careful measures were taken to ensure we never had any issues. However, our entire group found the property and the people to be unbelievably friendly, and never felt unsafe. We hope to find ourselves at Stargaze in the future!"Guest: SUMMER READY Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 13, 2014View listing
"This was a great spot for me and my friends! We had 5 people staying in the condo and it couldn't have worked out better for us. The bed was comfortable, the beach was a block away and there was a pool downstairs. Also, the people were very friendly and helpful. We all felt very safe and there was a security guard on site the whole time, so our rental car was secure. Everything you could want was provided in the condo which really helped us pack light. It was also a convenient location for us to get pretty much anywhere we wanted to go. I would recommend this rental to anyone! Thanks for everything Ana!"Guest: Badger Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: May 10, 2014View listing
"Just returned home after a fantastic holiday stay in Brenda's condo with our family. After exploring much of the island it was uniformly agreed that there is no better place we could have booked our vacation. The resort is in the process of adding gym, spa and restaurant facilities on site and if we were in the position to consider owning a piece of paradise the Grand Caribe would be first choice. The unit is exactly as described with beautiful views of the Caribbean from the master bedroom, a well stocked kitchen and plenty of space for the 5 of us (with one person on the pull out couch - typically (un)comfortable). The resort is the perfect distance from San Pedro and we even walked into town a couple of times (a 45 minute walk) instead of using the water taxi or golf cart. The staff was helpful and friendly at all times and go out of their way to assist in carrying groceries or making reservations. But it does seem that all of the islanders share this welcoming attitude. You can not pass anyone without getting a wave or "hello". The food was uniformly wonderful everywhere we ate although Aji right next door to Grand Caribe is beautiful amidst the palms and twinkling lights. And Melt Café for breakfast has great huevos rancheros."Guest: Christine Date of Stay: December 2013 Review Submitted: January 2, 2014View listing
"I stayed at Natania's in 2006, 2007, 2008 and I loved it! Great views, nice accommodations, lovely people and Vern was wonderful...everything was wonderful! When I returned in 2014 I wanted to stay in Ocho Rios and it was OK but I should have made a reservation and stayed at Natania's. When you find a good thing you gotta stick with it! When we come back it's Vern and Natania's for me!"Guest: Gwen W. Date of Stay: January 2014 Review Submitted: April 25, 2014View listing
Anguilla Travel Tips
Activities and Attractions at Anguilla Vacation Rentals
Anguilla is a tropical paradise located in the Caribbean. It is an island known for its beautiful beaches and calm turquoise waters. It’s a place where you can relax, and be as active or lazy as you choose. Many people visit simply to be able to enjoy the beautiful white beach sands, warm tropical sun and delicious rum cocktails. But if you’d like to be a little more active than that, there are plenty of great activities. The calm turquoise waters are ideal for swimming and snorkeling. You can visit the reefs and watch the many colorful tropical reef fish dart between the corals. For certified divers, you can explore the underwater wonders by signing up with one of the dive charters.
The national sport of Anguilla is sailing and when the weather is good, you’ll see all types and sizes of sailing craft out on the water. The winds provide ideal sailing conditions and regattas are often held throughout the year. Sea kayaking is a great way to explore the coastline. Protected by the barrier reefs, most of the coastline is relatively calm. If you enjoy deep sea fishing, you can go out beyond the reefs for a day of fishing. The experienced skippers will be able to take you to where the fish are biting.
No visit to Anguilla is complete without taking a boat cruise. You can choose from a slow and steady glass-bottomed boat to a luxurious high-speed cruiser. There are also several yachts available for day charters and cruises on the island. On land, you can enjoy a round of golf or many leisurely hours of walking. You could even explore the interior on horseback. Then there are also the vibrant restaurants, beach bars, shops and markets to keep you entertained.
Visitors to Anguilla Villas
Anguilla attracts visitors who love the sunshine and warm tropical weather. Many people visit the island from December to April to escape from the colder northern climates. It’s a little slice of tropical paradise that is an ideal sun vacation destination. Because of its natural beauty, it is a popular destination for honeymoons and weddings. There’s nothing quite as romantic as strolling along a beautiful beach at sunset and feeling the gentle ocean breeze in your hair. Yachtsmen can enjoy sailing in the bays with the consistently good winds. Scuba divers can enjoy the underwater reefs and magnificent marine life. Anyone who enjoys beach, sun and water sports will enjoy a stay on Anguilla.
Getting to Anguilla Resort Rentals
Most flights to Anguilla from the United States route via Puerto Rico. From there, there are several flights weekly that connect on to Anguilla. An alternative that is often cheaper and more convenient is to fly directly to the neighboring island of St. Maarten. From there, you can get a quick island hop across to Anguilla. From St. Maartten, it is a quick 20-minute ferry trip to get across to Anguilla. If traveling from Europe, there are several airlines that have direct flights into St. Maarten. You can, of course, also route via Puerto Rico if you choose.
Best Seasons to Travel to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in Anguilla
Anguilla enjoys a warm year-round tropical climate. While the sun may shine all year, the seasons are dictated mostly by the rainfall rather than by how hot it is. The most popular time of year to visit is during the cooler months which are from December to April. You’ll want to be cautious about traveling in May as there are frequently storms that blow through. The summer months of June to September are very hot and humid, and heavy rains generally occur in October.
