  • "We can't imagine a more perfect place!"

"After spending the last two weeks at La Sirene we can’t imagine a more perfect place to stay. As far as we’re concerned it has everything. The house is beautifully designed and appointed and has every facility one could wish for. Roger and Siri appreciate fine art and the house reflects their good taste in its architecture, decoration, paintings and sculptures. The house is entirely private and has its own access to the sea for swimming, snorkelling and kayaking. We particularly enjoyed watching the sun come up when we were having our early morning swim in the infinity pool. The trade winds keep the house well aired and bug-free. During our stay we explored the entire island and although we saw many more lavish properties, we didn’t see any which had such a perfect balance of comfort, facilities, privacy and relaxation. And the view from the top of the drive took our breath away every time we returned. PS. The kite surfing at Long Bay Beach was brilliant!"

  • The centerpiece of a great vacation!

"My wife and I took our two sons (ages 17 and 23) to Puerto Rico for Christmas. Our first unexpected surprise occurred when we arrived at the condo on Christmas Eve. The property manager, Rosanna, not only met us to give us our keys at 7:00 p.m., she had cooked dinner for us (on top of buying groceries we had requested to stock the refrigerator). The moment we walked into this beautifully decorated condo, we felt at ease and could relax. This three bedroom unit is very spacious, allowing my wife and I, and each of our boys to have our own bedrooms to get away when we needed down time. We also appreciated the fact that one of the bedrooms has a separate entrance. This allowed our 23 year old to come and go as he pleased without disturbing us. Having coffee on the deck as we watched the sunrise every morning provided a tranquil start to the day. The location of the condo and the beach allowed my son and I to boogie board every day. If you only read Google, it will tell you that the undertow at Palmas del Mar makes it dangerous for boogie boarding. Located at the northern edge of the property, our beach was very calm and we experienced none of the undertow you read about (which describes the Westin Hotel at Palmas del Mar). We were able to rent a golf cart that we used to get around the resort throughout the week, and we often used it to travel down to the marina to eat dinner every night. It also allowed our sons the independence to drive around the property and explore on their own. There are also grocery facilities on the resort if you want to cook for yourself. An additional benefit we found was that we could charter a boat for a snorkeling cruise to Vieques. The advantage of leaving from Palmas del Mar is that it only takes 30-45 minutes, versus the 75 minutes it would take from Fajardo. More importantly, the direction of travel from Palmas means that the water is far calmer since the direction of the current does not rock the boat side to side. This was important given that my wife is prone to sea sickness. The location of the resort is also convenient if you want to visit El Yunque (1 hour drive), San Juan (1 hour drive), or the Southeast beaches of Puerto Rico such as Los Bohios (1 hr). The combination of the accommodations, the location, Rosanna, and the amenities made it one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever taken, If you want a location where you can totally unplug, this is the place to go."

  • The Best!

"We had such an amazing stay! They have such a beautiful home and yard, and the view is breath taking! It's the perfect place if you want to be away from all the crowds and noise. The nights were so peaceful with a perfect breeze! Cindie and Jon are wonderful people who helped us out with any questions and made awesome recommendations! Loved how close the beaches were too! We Would definitely recommend staying here! We are missing it already!!!"

Anguilla Travel Tips

Activities and Attractions at Anguilla Vacation Rentals

Anguilla is a tropical paradise located in the Caribbean. It is an island known for its beautiful beaches and calm turquoise waters. It’s a place where you can relax, and be as active or lazy as you choose. Many people visit simply to be able to enjoy the beautiful white beach sands, warm tropical sun and delicious rum cocktails. But if you’d like to be a little more active than that, there are plenty of great activities. The calm turquoise waters are ideal for swimming and snorkeling. You can visit the reefs and watch the many colorful tropical reef fish dart between the corals. For certified divers, you can explore the underwater wonders by signing up with one of the dive charters.

The national sport of Anguilla is sailing and when the weather is good, you’ll see all types and sizes of sailing craft out on the water. The winds provide ideal sailing conditions and regattas are often held throughout the year. Sea kayaking is a great way to explore the coastline. Protected by the barrier reefs, most of the coastline is relatively calm. If you enjoy deep sea fishing, you can go out beyond the reefs for a day of fishing. The experienced skippers will be able to take you to where the fish are biting.

No visit to Anguilla is complete without taking a boat cruise. You can choose from a slow and steady glass-bottomed boat to a luxurious high-speed cruiser. There are also several yachts available for day charters and cruises on the island. On land, you can enjoy a round of golf or many leisurely hours of walking. You could even explore the interior on horseback. Then there are also the vibrant restaurants, beach bars, shops and markets to keep you entertained.

Visitors to Anguilla Villas

Anguilla attracts visitors who love the sunshine and warm tropical weather. Many people visit the island from December to April to escape from the colder northern climates. It’s a little slice of tropical paradise that is an ideal sun vacation destination. Because of its natural beauty, it is a popular destination for honeymoons and weddings. There’s nothing quite as romantic as strolling along a beautiful beach at sunset and feeling the gentle ocean breeze in your hair. Yachtsmen can enjoy sailing in the bays with the consistently good winds. Scuba divers can enjoy the underwater reefs and magnificent marine life. Anyone who enjoys beach, sun and water sports will enjoy a stay on Anguilla.

Getting to Anguilla Resort Rentals

Most flights to Anguilla from the United States route via Puerto Rico. From there, there are several flights weekly that connect on to Anguilla. An alternative that is often cheaper and more convenient is to fly directly to the neighboring island of St. Maarten. From there, you can get a quick island hop across to Anguilla. From St. Maartten, it is a quick 20-minute ferry trip to get across to Anguilla. If traveling from Europe, there are several airlines that have direct flights into St. Maarten. You can, of course, also route via Puerto Rico if you choose.

Best Seasons to Travel to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in Anguilla

Anguilla enjoys a warm year-round tropical climate. While the sun may shine all year, the seasons are dictated mostly by the rainfall rather than by how hot it is. The most popular time of year to visit is during the cooler months which are from December to April. You’ll want to be cautious about traveling in May as there are frequently storms that blow through. The summer months of June to September are very hot and humid, and heavy rains generally occur in October.
