  • Amazing value & host

"Carl was so amazing the week we were there. He went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable in all aspects of our honeymoon vacation. We traded several emails about accommodations almost a year in advance & he was quick to respond to emails & phone calls. West End Bay Apts were very clean & spacious & had all the amenities we could ask for with an amazing view in a quiet location. Carl took care of all the details for us & we simply showed up & enjoyed the sun. View/Location/Room: West End Bay Apartments is 1 minute from Shoal Bay West & less than 5 mins from Meads, with a close grocery store. The view was amazing in our room with St. Marten & the ocean from one side & then another ocean view from the back side. The room was up to date & had a great kitchen that we used several mornings for breakfast. The best part was the equipment that he provided as part of the room. He provided each room with 2 sunbrellas (which we used everyday since there wasn't shade on the beaches), cooler, chairs, water noodles & scuba fins. The room itself was very spacious & very clean with AC! Car Rental: We rented a car through Carl & it was ready for us as soon as we got to the apartment. It was a nice & clean compact SUV, which was fun to drive around. Process was quick & easy & affordable as well. I’d recommend a car since the island doesn’t have a public transportation system and his rates were among the best of other rentals and it was super easy."

  • Only booked it 3 weeks ago.

"We rented the house with two children ages 14 & 17. Each had their own room which they loved. The house was wonderful! Very clean and decorated nicely. Outdoor shower off the the bedrooms was nice. Next time we're coming back with 3 couples. Shoal Bay is out of the main nightlife but that's what we loved. 10 minutes to everything with quite time for us. Nice beaches and dinning right around the corner."

  • 2nd time (there will be many more) at this villa!

"This was our 5th trip to Anguilla and the 2nd time at Bellamare. Honestly, after having stayed at 3 other villas all on different parts of Anguilla, we feel as though Bellamare is the best! The villa is perfect, the location is perfect and Yvette and Junior are the the best! We spend a lot of time at the villa during our stay, training (lots of great running trails nearby), cooking and just lounging around. Privacy is very important to us and Yvette and Junior were like Ninja's the entire time we were there! While out on a run, Poof! bed made and fresh towels! While out for a swim, Poof! Junior dropped of fresh caught snapper! If you are going to explore the restaurants most are a little drive. But hey, the whole island is only 17 miles! the only places you need are within 2 miles of the villa. Le Bon Pain (bakery) is an easy 1.2 mile jog and Hibernia Restaurant is 2 miles. The beach walk to watch the best sunsets in the world is very short and due to 2014 storms you will get your feet wet (only to mid shins!). Also, if you are a friend of felines, Miss Bella is most courteous cat we have ever seen! She will come to visit, but she will not come into the living area. So if you're not a cat person you will never see her. By the way Bella prefers Little Friskies! Simply put...we've found our permanent vacation spot! Shhhhh, don't tell everyone!"

  • Amazing and wonderful!

"Wow! What a week in paradise. Everything was perfect, starting with our travel logistics before our departure by the villa owner, Kevin and Janice, right through to our departure! This week couldn't have been more perfect. The villa, with breathtaking ocean views combined with all the amenities that you would expect from a luxury home, was fabulous. With Gwen, the house manager, guiding us, no detail was left unattended. We had the time of our life at the villa and exploring the island. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home and island!"

Anguilla Travel Tips

Activities and Attractions at Anguilla Vacation Rentals

Anguilla is a tropical paradise located in the Caribbean. It is an island known for its beautiful beaches and calm turquoise waters. It’s a place where you can relax, and be as active or lazy as you choose. Many people visit simply to be able to enjoy the beautiful white beach sands, warm tropical sun and delicious rum cocktails. But if you’d like to be a little more active than that, there are plenty of great activities. The calm turquoise waters are ideal for swimming and snorkeling. You can visit the reefs and watch the many colorful tropical reef fish dart between the corals. For certified divers, you can explore the underwater wonders by signing up with one of the dive charters.

The national sport of Anguilla is sailing and when the weather is good, you’ll see all types and sizes of sailing craft out on the water. The winds provide ideal sailing conditions and regattas are often held throughout the year. Sea kayaking is a great way to explore the coastline. Protected by the barrier reefs, most of the coastline is relatively calm. If you enjoy deep sea fishing, you can go out beyond the reefs for a day of fishing. The experienced skippers will be able to take you to where the fish are biting.

No visit to Anguilla is complete without taking a boat cruise. You can choose from a slow and steady glass-bottomed boat to a luxurious high-speed cruiser. There are also several yachts available for day charters and cruises on the island. On land, you can enjoy a round of golf or many leisurely hours of walking. You could even explore the interior on horseback. Then there are also the vibrant restaurants, beach bars, shops and markets to keep you entertained.

Visitors to Anguilla Villas

Anguilla attracts visitors who love the sunshine and warm tropical weather. Many people visit the island from December to April to escape from the colder northern climates. It’s a little slice of tropical paradise that is an ideal sun vacation destination. Because of its natural beauty, it is a popular destination for honeymoons and weddings. There’s nothing quite as romantic as strolling along a beautiful beach at sunset and feeling the gentle ocean breeze in your hair. Yachtsmen can enjoy sailing in the bays with the consistently good winds. Scuba divers can enjoy the underwater reefs and magnificent marine life. Anyone who enjoys beach, sun and water sports will enjoy a stay on Anguilla.

Getting to Anguilla Resort Rentals

Most flights to Anguilla from the United States route via Puerto Rico. From there, there are several flights weekly that connect on to Anguilla. An alternative that is often cheaper and more convenient is to fly directly to the neighboring island of St. Maarten. From there, you can get a quick island hop across to Anguilla. From St. Maartten, it is a quick 20-minute ferry trip to get across to Anguilla. If traveling from Europe, there are several airlines that have direct flights into St. Maarten. You can, of course, also route via Puerto Rico if you choose.

Best Seasons to Travel to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in Anguilla

Anguilla enjoys a warm year-round tropical climate. While the sun may shine all year, the seasons are dictated mostly by the rainfall rather than by how hot it is. The most popular time of year to visit is during the cooler months which are from December to April. You’ll want to be cautious about traveling in May as there are frequently storms that blow through. The summer months of June to September are very hot and humid, and heavy rains generally occur in October.
