"My family and I just returned from a week at this fabulous condo. If you want to get away and just relax, this is the place to be. The condo is far enough from the touristy side of the island, yet a close enough drive if you want to go shopping. The condo is beautifully decorated and has breathtaking views of the ocean. I loved swimming in the warm waters right off the dock, and then relaxing under a palm tree. There are public beaches about a 10 minute drive from the condo that are great for kids and plenty of fantastic restaurants. One of my favorites was restaurant Papagallo and Luca for homemade pasta. There are also great seafood restaurants within a 5 minute drive, Morgan's Bay and the Conch. My niece loved swimming in the pool everyday and visiting the Turtle Farm, where you can feed and handle sea turtles. This was the perfect vacation. The Caymanian people were so friendly as were the people staying at the other condos. George, the grounds keeper was always friendly and made us feel welcome. I cannot say enough about this condo and its location. Eileen, thank you for sharing your home with my family. I will definitely be back next year!"Guest: Stacey S. "Family of four had a great summer visit to Tennis Villa #4 at CdC. The villa has the country home/DR vibe we were looking for. It is centrally located within CdC for easy access to all the sites and amenities. 13 tennis courts and tennis clubhouse are within 2 minute walk from villa. The villa has a small plunge-pool which was great for cooling off. The beach and hotel pools were an easy golf-cart ride from the villa as well as Altos-de-Chavon. The owner of the villa is great to work with and was kind enough to talk to me before going (for our first visit to DR) and answered all my questions. Maria will cook for you, clean the villa daily and do your laundry! What more can you ask for from a vacation at CdC. We took our boys to the Shooting Club which may be the nicest facility of its kind. Ask for Eugene...he is a great guy and true pro...the boys had a blast! Thanks Paul for a great stay at your villa!"Guest: David C. Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 8, 2014View listing
"We had a wonderful time in St. Thomas and the house. You do not need to leave the house (we did) just sit on the deck and enjoy God's beauty. Very quite area. House is clean. Paul the owner is very helpful and kind. Went to different beaches everyday and took a few hikes. People on the island are very nice. Thank you Paul."Guest: Terry M. "Really enjoyed our stay at your home in Jolly Harbour. Upon our arrival we noted that it was clean and tidy. The home had all the necessities that we required. Wonderful view of the hills and the marina from the master bedroom. The Housekeeper was very pleasant and checked in on us to see if we needed anything. Great place to stay, will definately be staying here again on our next trip to Antigua. Would recommend a rental car or golf cart rental."Guest: James J. Anguilla Travel Tips
Activities and Attractions at Anguilla Vacation Rentals
Anguilla is a tropical paradise located in the Caribbean. It is an island known for its beautiful beaches and calm turquoise waters. It’s a place where you can relax, and be as active or lazy as you choose. Many people visit simply to be able to enjoy the beautiful white beach sands, warm tropical sun and delicious rum cocktails. But if you’d like to be a little more active than that, there are plenty of great activities. The calm turquoise waters are ideal for swimming and snorkeling. You can visit the reefs and watch the many colorful tropical reef fish dart between the corals. For certified divers, you can explore the underwater wonders by signing up with one of the dive charters.
The national sport of Anguilla is sailing and when the weather is good, you’ll see all types and sizes of sailing craft out on the water. The winds provide ideal sailing conditions and regattas are often held throughout the year. Sea kayaking is a great way to explore the coastline. Protected by the barrier reefs, most of the coastline is relatively calm. If you enjoy deep sea fishing, you can go out beyond the reefs for a day of fishing. The experienced skippers will be able to take you to where the fish are biting.
No visit to Anguilla is complete without taking a boat cruise. You can choose from a slow and steady glass-bottomed boat to a luxurious high-speed cruiser. There are also several yachts available for day charters and cruises on the island. On land, you can enjoy a round of golf or many leisurely hours of walking. You could even explore the interior on horseback. Then there are also the vibrant restaurants, beach bars, shops and markets to keep you entertained.
Visitors to Anguilla Villas
Anguilla attracts visitors who love the sunshine and warm tropical weather. Many people visit the island from December to April to escape from the colder northern climates. It’s a little slice of tropical paradise that is an ideal sun vacation destination. Because of its natural beauty, it is a popular destination for honeymoons and weddings. There’s nothing quite as romantic as strolling along a beautiful beach at sunset and feeling the gentle ocean breeze in your hair. Yachtsmen can enjoy sailing in the bays with the consistently good winds. Scuba divers can enjoy the underwater reefs and magnificent marine life. Anyone who enjoys beach, sun and water sports will enjoy a stay on Anguilla.
Getting to Anguilla Resort Rentals
Most flights to Anguilla from the United States route via Puerto Rico. From there, there are several flights weekly that connect on to Anguilla. An alternative that is often cheaper and more convenient is to fly directly to the neighboring island of St. Maarten. From there, you can get a quick island hop across to Anguilla. From St. Maartten, it is a quick 20-minute ferry trip to get across to Anguilla. If traveling from Europe, there are several airlines that have direct flights into St. Maarten. You can, of course, also route via Puerto Rico if you choose.
Best Seasons to Travel to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in Anguilla
Anguilla enjoys a warm year-round tropical climate. While the sun may shine all year, the seasons are dictated mostly by the rainfall rather than by how hot it is. The most popular time of year to visit is during the cooler months which are from December to April. You’ll want to be cautious about traveling in May as there are frequently storms that blow through. The summer months of June to September are very hot and humid, and heavy rains generally occur in October.
