"We just returned from Oceana Villa after an eleven day get-a-way. We had an amazing time, and the house far exceeded our expectations. The layout and décor were exemplary. The outdoor shower was a favorite and the view from there was breathtaking! The pool and expansive deck, made us feel like we were in a 5 Star resort...simply beautiful! Shelia was very kind and did an AMAZING job keeping the house spotless. This was our 15th anniversary, and I have to say, it was the most wonderful, relaxing time that either of us have had on a vacation. We love Anguilla and Oceana and would love to return again someday. Thank-you for sharing your home with us!"Guest: jon w. Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 8, 2014View listing
"Your home is beautiful! We all had a wonderful time in Anguilla and look forward to going back someday. We wish we could have stayed longer. The weather was perfect and Gwen, Glen and Jeanette were great. We enjoyed Gwen's Reggae Bar on Sunday night and had Glen cook for us a couple of times. It was a lot of fun to enjoy dinners outside and the breeze felt great. Thank you for allowing us to use your beautiful villa. We all had a great vacation and loved your home!"Guest: Nicole D. "We were so very pleased with LaVanda Cottage. It was unbelievably charming and more importantly, extremely well maintained and clean! Everything was in excellent condition. It is much larger than depicted and the wrap around porch was perfect. I was going to describe in detail what to expect, but the previous writer from New England said it perfectly! No need to reiterate. I will mention that this cottage is nestled in back of and to the side of Villa Bellamare and in front of Villa Mimosa. Because of the beautifully lush landscaped grounds, you have total privacy. The other two properties look beautiful as well. Each and every staff member, from Trenton, Charlene and lovely Yvette, were delightful. Of note, there is no sign to help you locate the cottage, but it is next door to Serenity cottages. We had stayed in the Roads Bay area for five days and then we moved to La Vanda. Our only mistake was not staying at La Vanda the entire time. This is the only island we have returned to more than once and we are already talking about returning as the people are so warm and inviting. This is not something you encounter in some of the other Caribbean Islands. Thank you Mary Ann for a memorable stay!"Guest: Susan Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: June 7, 2014View listing
"We have been vacationing at Villa Serenata for the past five years and have only positive things to say! The house is well equipped and wonderful location for privacy, yet only a short drive to beach and restaurants. The best french bakery on the island is just a short walk down the hill. We just love relaxing on the outside veranda. The owners have become family to us....very gracious and caring! Thank you Madeline and Rocco for allowing us to stay at Villa Serenata. . . .a home away from home!"Guest: D&D Date of Stay: February 2014 Review Submitted: April 11, 2014View listing
Anguilla Travel Tips
Activities and Attractions at Anguilla Vacation Rentals
Anguilla is a tropical paradise located in the Caribbean. It is an island known for its beautiful beaches and calm turquoise waters. It’s a place where you can relax, and be as active or lazy as you choose. Many people visit simply to be able to enjoy the beautiful white beach sands, warm tropical sun and delicious rum cocktails. But if you’d like to be a little more active than that, there are plenty of great activities. The calm turquoise waters are ideal for swimming and snorkeling. You can visit the reefs and watch the many colorful tropical reef fish dart between the corals. For certified divers, you can explore the underwater wonders by signing up with one of the dive charters.
The national sport of Anguilla is sailing and when the weather is good, you’ll see all types and sizes of sailing craft out on the water. The winds provide ideal sailing conditions and regattas are often held throughout the year. Sea kayaking is a great way to explore the coastline. Protected by the barrier reefs, most of the coastline is relatively calm. If you enjoy deep sea fishing, you can go out beyond the reefs for a day of fishing. The experienced skippers will be able to take you to where the fish are biting.
No visit to Anguilla is complete without taking a boat cruise. You can choose from a slow and steady glass-bottomed boat to a luxurious high-speed cruiser. There are also several yachts available for day charters and cruises on the island. On land, you can enjoy a round of golf or many leisurely hours of walking. You could even explore the interior on horseback. Then there are also the vibrant restaurants, beach bars, shops and markets to keep you entertained.
