  • Stay Here

"Anguilla is amazing. James Place is an equally wonderful place to explore how incredible Anguilla really is. It is very spacious. It is exactly as the pictures portray. It has all the amenities of home that one would want. It also has two chairs for the beach, two beach pads, a beach umbrella and a cooler with wheels to make it easier to enjoy the stunningly beautiful beaches. The WiFi was very good and there was a strong signal. It was quiet, yet close to the main road and easily accessible. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have about my experience."

  • Home Away From Home!

"I feel very fortunate to have found Webster Villa. For the last 2 years I have stayed here and I couldn't have asked for more. It's a good sized house, has everything we need(linens, towels, cooking supplies, BBQ, beach chairs, washing machine/dryer, wifi), and it's in the quaint fishing village of Island Harbour. Down the road is Le Bon Pain bakery and definitely have a rum with Everett while you watch the fishing boats!"

  • Beautiful property, fabulous location!

"My husband and I spent two weeks at this beautiful villa in November and we absolutely loved the property. It is located on the East end which is our favorite part of the island but you are never far away from anything on Anguilla. We were within walking distance of a great pastry shop and a few minutes drive from Shoal Bay East. It was fabulous having the pool for those days when you just wanted to stay close to "home". It was more space then we needed for the two of us as the house is very spacious with three bedrooms and baths on the ground floor as well as a sitting room and small kitchen. The upstairs is one open area including kitchen, dining and living area. Just to reassure anyone who had concerns as I did, you do not need a/c upstairs. If you open the beautiful balcony doors on all sides the breezes are incredible. Balconies exist on all four sides upstairs and three of them provide ocean views. The kitchen is fully stocked and the owner was nice enough to provide a few staples for when we arrived. Having the laundry room and clothes line was a great feature, stay for two weeks, pack for one. This property is in a residential area but you feel very safe and the grounds keeper for the property is only a few minutes drive away. When I couldn't find the iron, which was in a cupboard, the neighbour was nice enough to lend me hers. I have looked at most of the properties on Anguilla that are available for rent and this property provides fabulous features for the price asked."

  • Great Anguilla Experince

"Just returned from Anguilla and the Clubhouse. I have been going to Anguilla since the 1980’s when I lived and worked in nearby St Maarten and can say the Clubhouse is a great value and lovely accommodation, particularly for Anguilla, as many comparable properties are priced well out of range. Others have already outlined many of the benefits of the property…I will simply say that these are accurate descriptions of the accommodation and experience, and I would recommend this property to everyone looking for great vacation experience on Anguilla. However, I would like to make a few comments about the negative review above. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but I don’t think this should go unchallenged. I’ll cover the points below: NO gas…I’ve been to this property more than once…always plenty of gas Smell of gas was overwhelming…that has never been the case The owner does not provide a fully stocked kitchen…untrue No kettle…untrue There's no toaster…untrue No coffee-maker…untrue We were forced to continually find places to eat that served hot beverages and food…Funny, must have been a very difficult search. Anguilla is overflowing with fine places to eat. Large aggressive maintenance man - renters should be put in such an uncomfortable threatening situation…that would be Trenton, and this comment is utter foolishness. Trenton could never be characterized in this way, and is 100% courteous and helpful 100% of the time. This comment feels somewhat racist to me. Further, the DVD didn't work properly….untrue And even though there are 2 bathrooms, both showers are pointless as only a trickle of water comes out…moderate stream, I’d say this comment is untrue With only intermittent moments of warm water…untrue Also the safe did not work…untrue The walk to the beach takes around 3 minutes through a scruffy gravel and rock area strewn with leaves and debris, and then you need to be fit enough to jump down on to the sand…access to the beach is down the left side of the big villa (Bellamare) and through a gate, down a set of stairs leading directly to the beach. Virtually every part of this comment is untrue. This property is in a bad location, not worth the price…untrue, Shoal Bay Village is one of the nicer island destinations and the accommodations provide more, not less, for the money. Go to Anguilla, stay in the Clubhouse and enjoy your visit. Anguilla is one of the best destinations in the Caribbean and the perfect place to relax."

Anguilla Travel Tips

Activities and Attractions at Anguilla Vacation Rentals

Anguilla is a tropical paradise located in the Caribbean. It is an island known for its beautiful beaches and calm turquoise waters. It’s a place where you can relax, and be as active or lazy as you choose. Many people visit simply to be able to enjoy the beautiful white beach sands, warm tropical sun and delicious rum cocktails. But if you’d like to be a little more active than that, there are plenty of great activities. The calm turquoise waters are ideal for swimming and snorkeling. You can visit the reefs and watch the many colorful tropical reef fish dart between the corals. For certified divers, you can explore the underwater wonders by signing up with one of the dive charters.

The national sport of Anguilla is sailing and when the weather is good, you’ll see all types and sizes of sailing craft out on the water. The winds provide ideal sailing conditions and regattas are often held throughout the year. Sea kayaking is a great way to explore the coastline. Protected by the barrier reefs, most of the coastline is relatively calm. If you enjoy deep sea fishing, you can go out beyond the reefs for a day of fishing. The experienced skippers will be able to take you to where the fish are biting.

No visit to Anguilla is complete without taking a boat cruise. You can choose from a slow and steady glass-bottomed boat to a luxurious high-speed cruiser. There are also several yachts available for day charters and cruises on the island. On land, you can enjoy a round of golf or many leisurely hours of walking. You could even explore the interior on horseback. Then there are also the vibrant restaurants, beach bars, shops and markets to keep you entertained.

Visitors to Anguilla Villas

Anguilla attracts visitors who love the sunshine and warm tropical weather. Many people visit the island from December to April to escape from the colder northern climates. It’s a little slice of tropical paradise that is an ideal sun vacation destination. Because of its natural beauty, it is a popular destination for honeymoons and weddings. There’s nothing quite as romantic as strolling along a beautiful beach at sunset and feeling the gentle ocean breeze in your hair. Yachtsmen can enjoy sailing in the bays with the consistently good winds. Scuba divers can enjoy the underwater reefs and magnificent marine life. Anyone who enjoys beach, sun and water sports will enjoy a stay on Anguilla.

Getting to Anguilla Resort Rentals

Most flights to Anguilla from the United States route via Puerto Rico. From there, there are several flights weekly that connect on to Anguilla. An alternative that is often cheaper and more convenient is to fly directly to the neighboring island of St. Maarten. From there, you can get a quick island hop across to Anguilla. From St. Maartten, it is a quick 20-minute ferry trip to get across to Anguilla. If traveling from Europe, there are several airlines that have direct flights into St. Maarten. You can, of course, also route via Puerto Rico if you choose.

Best Seasons to Travel to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in Anguilla

Anguilla enjoys a warm year-round tropical climate. While the sun may shine all year, the seasons are dictated mostly by the rainfall rather than by how hot it is. The most popular time of year to visit is during the cooler months which are from December to April. You’ll want to be cautious about traveling in May as there are frequently storms that blow through. The summer months of June to September are very hot and humid, and heavy rains generally occur in October.
